I hope Jeb Bush runs for the Senate in 2010 and then becomes President of the U.S. in 2012 defeating Obama. America would be better off with a true conservative like Jeb in office than Mr. Bailout Obama.

Media bias? No...really? The press, Democrats and liberals in general are deathly afraid of Jeb Bush. Why? He was a effective governor of a major state, is articulate, photogenic, has a solid command of the issues and an unwavering commitment to conservative principles. Sounds like a winning resume to me.

Folks, I live in Fl. I know what has happened here. Someone (jeb of fl) innuendos etc. well here are some facts that I myself observed: I at one time was employed in the states children and family dept. My job was to put together charts of performance of all of the agencies legilatively mandated goals. though it was an agency rather than the whole state, the information (regarding cost and performance) sure looked successful when it was released by the governors office. Funny, the data I saw didnt show success at all. in fact on average, it cost about 30 % more and performance was about the same percentage below what had gone before- and that wasnt satasfactory. The simple fact is that jeb is about earning money for his cronies and he flat doesnt care about the state.

Additionally, though here I cant say for sure is that not long after I saw an accident and as i waited to give a staement, I talked to this guy who turned out to be the guy jeb was using to remove civil service protections. He asked what I thought, and I told him. I didnt think I was important enough for him to listen to me, but as I found out later, my boss was a political appointee and around two weeks after that they tried to fire me. Fortunatly because his "reforms" had not yet been implemented, he didnt succeed. I believe that came from jebs office. hes nothing but a seditious thief!!!

Bonnie, I guess you really are another one of those liberals destroying the foundation are forfathers built this nation upon. I'm not a jeb bush fan, but I'm really not a fan of yours now.

what a disgusting display of partisanship by this author. if you have some dirt on jeb and his private dealings, let's hear it. these innuendos are embarrassing, extremely misleading, and unworthy of a national news magazine. this is the governor whose personal wealth declined about 40% during his time in office. you honestly believe that jeb is not thoughtful and doesn't possess a keen intellect? have you spoken with the man, or witnessed the reforms he's enacted in florida? agree or disagree with his beliefs, he has certainly introduced innovative and substantive reforms to the government he headed. and the bit about george and george w., while true, is really irrelevant to our current situation and shows your ignorance of the vast differences in ideology, personality, and governing history of these three men.you would do well to follow the example of your anointed choice for us senate and keep the overt and shameless partisanship to a minimum.

I don't want to hear the names Kennedy, Clinton or BUSH! How about one of the 300,000,000 Americans that are not from one of these families.

When the Project for a New American Century was formed in 95, the members read like Dubya's war cabinet in waiting: Cherney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, Perle, Feith, Abrams, Khalilzad, Kristol and other crazies. Dubya was not a member. Jeb was.

Jeb ran for governor of Florida (a position with real power) at the same time Dubya ran for governor of Texas (a figurehead position). Jeb lost, Dubya won. It's very likely that Jeb was intended to steal the presidential election 2000 but circumstances meant we got Dubya instead.

Jeb would have been more extreme than Dubya.

Incidentally, PNAC begged Clinton to invade Iraq to steal its oil. In 2000 they published a policy paper reiterating and expanding upon the 1992 Cheney/Wolfowitz plan to invade Iraq and steal its oil. The US would become the world's policeman and the military transformed into a bunch of marauding thugs stealing the world's resources. That policy paper said of the transformation of the military:

"...the process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event - like a new Pearl Harbor."

Dumb thoughts, Bonnie, but you're certainly entitled to them. Jeb Bush wants to run for the Senate - the people of Florida will decide if their popular governor should serve. The Schiavo was a sideshow, not a true example of his leadership of the Sunshine State. Caroline Kennedy wants to be appointed, not elected, to a senate seat, with absolutely no political experience, only a surname, on her side. Her sense of entitlement is shocking.
