Congressional Democrats Came Up Short

As unpopular as George W. might be, most people like the Congress even less. By voting in even more Democrats, we would be adding more fuel to the fire.

Bush didn't get it, but the people do.
The people have learned the hard way why checks and balances were built into the fabric of our government.
Give a president a filibuster proof congress and he/she becomes a power mad dictator accountable to no one.
Our presidents are accountable to us by design and the formation of political parties to undermine that principle have proved to be very dangerous.
Bad things happen when a president does whatever he/she pleases regardless of the constitution, courts or will of congress and actions go unchallenged.
