This article made me absolutely livid! How dare you say that Sarah Palin was only not elected because she is a woman, she was only selected because she IS a woman so that the american male population could drool over her. The jumped up bimbo couldn't even name a newspaper she has read. How could she ever expect to win the vote let alone the repect of any sane person. She is nothing more than a political prostitute

It is to easy for Americans to cry "SEXISM" when it comes to a female, especially those with the same characteristics as Sarah Palin. It is not hard to figure out that she was picked by McCain for all the wrong reasons. Those who does not have a real life are those who do everything in their power to cause drama over the smallest thing. Not only was she not qualified for the job, but she does not have the intelligence for the job. As for as her child's handcap, Sarah had not yet had the experience of an autistic child, he is to young for her to experience anything. She does not begin to know what those parents have been dealing with for years. She is just getting started.
So for God's sake stop people with your sexism drama! She should get picked on just like everyone else, if she wants to be in the public - celebrity status quo. Look who can not stay out of the media now.

This country is hands down more sexist than racist. We have the race issue constantly thrust in our faces, but hardly anything is spoken on the issue of sexism. Obviously because men of other races are more likely to stand up for themselves than women in general.
I was disgusted at how Clinton and Palin were treated. The comments were outrageous, and that is WITH the understanding that people are generally cruel to eachother regardless of race or gender.
Unfortunately many of these things are part of "sheeples'" instincts. Women are instinctively more submissive while men are more agressive in nature. Unfortunately, society does not cater to these natural instincts anymore, so women need to get tough or keep getting the short end of the stick, literally, HA HA HA.
If people can't see this, they are fooling themselves to make themselves feel better.

Thank God for this editorial. I thought I was the only women in America who was aware of the blantant sexism in the reporting of Senator Clinton's Presidential race and Governor Palin's Vice Presidential race.
Isn't it odd how each of these candidates is quickly deemed "polorizing" by the talking heads on the cable stations if they respond to sexist attacks. If they don't respond, they are too weak for the office and can't "pass the Commander in Chief Test". They ran up the negatives on each candidate as they competed in their respective races. Senator Clinton's negatives were only reduced when she started to campaign for the male nominee. How sad the best prepared candidate for office gets forced out.
Oddly enough the public does respond favorably to both campaigns ( note Palin's large crowds and Clinton's 18 million voters during the primaries). Both campaigns were doomed by party insiders and a media which was in the tank for the male candidate from the get go.
Yes it is still politically correct to bash female candidates for elected office. Sexism is a bigger problem than racism and effects women of any color or creed.

Signs that socialism is nearly upon us:
1. So many Americans talking in terms of "our": Like the person in the comment above: This person asks: "What is with OUR sexism?"
"OUR" racism and "OUR" sexism. Who is "OUR"? I am not sexist. Speak for yourself. There is no "WE" in America. There are thousands of "I"s. Most of us just have this sick need for other people to "LIKE" us Believe me folks, when you're 30 and white and male in America, you don't care if ANYONE "likes" you anymore. Hate me all day. It doesn't bother me. Never will. I have worked in the corporations and in the schools and at universities. There is no WE. WE implies FELLOWSHIP. There is no fellowship in a system where women are listening for a man to swear so she can go to HR and complain and get him fired. This is simply insanity and the sign that our society is toppling faster than a set of dominoes.
2. The "green" issues and questions like "Why don't WE recycle?"
Again, what's with the "we", ultra-liberal overly-apologetic white person? Get a life. Get a hobby. Do something else with your time instead of trying to recruit me to join your army of anti-capitalist numbskulls. Grow up. Really. Enough is enough.
3. "The children". These people don't do anything for "the children". I have been a teacher in public schools. They do it for themselves. They do it to obtain power. You see, weak people can't take power from strong people. It's the way of the world; the law of the jungle. Always has been. Always will be. So, our society has created this evil "WE" (the "we" of socialism) that is trying to DESTROY the "WE THE PEOPLE" (the "we" of democracy) of the Constitution of the USA.
4. Sensitivity Training: I don't need to be trained to be sensitive. I am sensitive. I love my girlfriend and my parents and my friends. YOU? Oh, well YOU are a perfect stranger. I love you as much as you love me. Which, to say, is not at all. We don't know each other. How could we love each other? Sheesh. Get some COMMON SENSE.
5. Women openly resenting men and men openly mistreating women: This is another sign of our decayed society. Culprit: Political Correctness. Men can't be men and women can't be women if we are too busy trying to figure out what constitutes femininity and masculinity all day. Penises go inside vaginas. Nature, God, Science: WHOEVER... set this rule down. And the rule is there for a reason. To prevent people from KILLING EACH OTHER. SEX lets you RELAX. Wake up girls. You want to get laid as much as the guys do, even the Feminists from the Universities. Probably they want to get laid more than anyone else. Haha.
Hey America: Listen up. I am NEVER paying for YOUR health care. If YOU get sick or get hurt, good luck. If you try and force me to pay, you may have a fight on your hands because after a college degree, sensitivity training, learning three languages, traveling the world, and a master's degree and almost a PhD, I really can't take it anymore. It's mind numbing to listen to most of you WHINE. There is no DEPRESSION. There is NO RECESSION. Where are the bread lines? All that is happening is that the Baby Boomers are watching their Golden Parachute go down the toilet. People born in the late 1970s and beyond are SAFE from all this. We have lots of life left. Don't get sucked in to their self-loathing and whining. It's not healthy for anyone.
To the ULTRA LIBERALS: If you don't like America... LEAVE! MONEY will ALWAYS be important in a CAPITALISTIC society. FREE SPEECH will ALWAYS be important in a FREE SOCIETY.MONITORING AND WATCHING EVERYONE'S MOVEMENTS IS WHAT THE SS DID FOR HITLER! This is NOT NAZI GERMANY. This is AMERICA.
And for the ladies: Get over it. Life is not an episode of SEX AND THE CITY. Life is what YOU make it to be and not every man you work with wants to listen to you like they are your husband or boyfriend or pal. They just want to work and go home to their lives, unscathed by the female HR officer with her seemingly invisible and arbitrary criteria for judgment. And this comment is not a comment on her FEMININITY. And don't try and turn it into one with RHETORIC.
Why? Because strong, patriotic Americans of ALL RACES and BOTH GENDERS won't let them.
We were once the kids in American who played outside, who ran around, who took risks, who worked towards understandings, who experimented sexually, who did all kinds of HUMAN things. We would dive from cliffs into resevoirs. Now, a child's parent teaches him or her to SUE. That's sick. That's insane. That's WRONG. It doesn't take a village to raise a child. It takes 2 responsible PEOPLE (gay straight or otherwise). It takes LOVE. And for people so filled with SELF HATRED, OVERLY APOLOGETIC WHITE PEOPLE WHO THINK SLAVERY IS THEIR FAULT SOMEHOW are DESTROYING AMERICA.
The New American Socialistic Left is not going to run anything.
You're a bunch of soulless robots who want to bring tyranny to this nation so you can feel "perfect". Believe me when I say that you are not fooling ANYONE. EVERYONE KNOWS that you are a FAKER, Ultra-Liberal America. Yours is the WORST hypocrisy. You would pass fascism off on this country under the guise of the American Flag and Change. I am not voting for Obama and not because he is BLACK. That's absurd and don't try and pin that nonsense on me. I am NOT voting for Obama as a white man in Massachusetts at the age of 30 because he WANTS TO TAKE MY MONEY AWAY. The end.

For some reason or another, the ULTRA LIBERALS do not seem to share those characteristics. CRITICIZE, CRITICIZE, CRITICIZE. How can a group of people who, out of one side of their mouth, posture themselves as tolerant or understanding and then HATE so fiercely, ANYTHING that makes someone HAPPY?
Ultraliberals hate themselves and they want to spread this hate throughout our entire society. The want to make sure that no one ever has a thought or a feeling ever again because thoughts and feelings are not quantifiable enough for them. You can't measure LOVE. And since most of their PARENTS all got DIVORCED over and over and over again, they are left very EMPTY inside.
God is taboo. Sex is taboo. Everything is taboo. Boy would it SUCK to wake up an ULTRALIBERAL tomorrow.
Thoreau said: "Most men lead lives of quiet desperation."
Ultraliberals are both: quiet and desperate. And that must be NO FUN whatsoever.
Try and take away my fun, Ultraliberal, and you may be in for more than you can handle.
What I would do to you would be far from "perfect".

You don't have to be Einstein to see that Sexism is acceptable and prevalent and growing!
Hillary was the first victim. The mass media and the Obama campaign vilified her. From witch to anything that rhymed with it and the most sickening epithets and depictions. The Obama supporters were the worst offender. The media joined them in the HIllary-bashing with glee.
Obama went so far as to act like a teenager at a rally and he lifted his midfynger and flipped offed Hillary in front of a crowd while smirking! What a sexist oink!
Then Obama supporers showed up wearing a "Sarah Palin is a C***t" T-shirt! And they seemed quite proud.
This ignominious election has clearly shown that Sexism is worse and much alive. Racism is almost dead. No? Well try wearing a T-shirt with a monkey eating a banana that has Obama's a N***r on it! You'll see soon how acceptable this is!
Remember John Lennon's song of l970--it's still darn true:
"WOMAN IS THE NE*RO OF THE WORLD"!! Thanks to the Obamabots and the media she still is and will be. Don't expect angry Michele to do anythying about it! She couldn't give a flying stool...She allowed her 2 young girls to sit a church and listen to RACIST sermons and watch crazy Rev. Wright's obscene gyrations on the pulpit yelling "Ya, Bill loves us and he does to us what he did to Monica" ....Nice parenting....Guess sexism will be with us a lot longer than racism...

The media misogynist frat-boys' antics pushed Obama to a premature, fraudulent "finish-line" of superdels. Obama himself employed sexist artillery to attack his female opponent. But he was smart. He knew how to camouflage his misogyny.
Remember Obama's N.C. performance the day after his pathetic ABC Debate in Pa? He went on stage and did his well-rehearsed sexist "flip-offing" JayC rapper-wannabe routine degrading his female fellow senator. He smirked, paused for effect and in a juvenile fashion....watch youtube's mega-hit: "Obama Gives Hillary the F**er!"
Remember Barack's camouflaged sexist statement:
"Periodically, Hillary feels down and starts launching attacks to boost her appeal"!
"the claws are comin' out"
"She's likeable enough"
And going on stage with Bernie Mac's sick joke "all mothers and sisters in any family are...'hos"!
Come on, now sexism sells. Obama's campaign struck gold with it. He played the Race Card smartly!....
