Race, Racism, and the Media in the John McCain-Barack Obama Election

Well, the reason I left the Republican Party to become a Decline to State is because of the obvious racist inclinations of people who make up the Republican Party base. Whether you like it or not – or whether you want to admit it or not – most Republicans are racist. We know that most Republicans are racist because there are 435 members of the U.S. House of Representatives. Not one is both black and Republican. There are 100 members of the U.S. Senate. Not one is both black and Republican. In order to be a candidate for Congress, a person must first run in a primary election. Republicans vote in Republican Party primaries. The unwillingness of the Republican Party faithful to nominate and elect a black person to represent them in the U.S. Congress is strong and compelling evidence that the vast majority of Republicans are racist. This is one of the reasons why I have left the Republican Party and it should be a reason why you leave the Republican Party.

This man is so damn phoney, and dosen"t care one bit about you, me, or any one other than his "friends" that hate the United States of America. If you folks are stupid enough to elect him president, then you deserve him. Then we can sit back and watch this country go to hell in a hand basket. By the way, how long do you think it will take before he wants to chancge the flag waving over the White House and Capitol? You voted for him, not me!

First of all by the definition of racism there is no such thing as reverse racism cause the african american population does not have enough power to do to the caucasian race what what was done to so many african american during the slavery era. Second of all by definition as defined by the laws of our government you are considered black if you have 1/4 of black blood. That law was passed to keep the lighter skinned black from passing as white. So by our own laws( passed by white people) we have defined Obama as black. A law which is still on the books today

Obama wants to take money away from my family just because we are not middle wage. I think that it is stupid that he wants money for no purpose at all you people might say " well he's putting that money into good use", well tell me whats the uses of spending money that most American's worked hard for. I'm sorry that my father has a good job and worked very hard at it and is making over 250.000$ a year and now after all the years he worked hard Obama wants to take it away?

I was in shock at first to hear that there was actually a plot against Obama to be assasinated, but none the less not surprised.

EVERYTIME there has ever been a good president in power whom didn't want a world full of chaos and wanted to actually HELP the people they've been assasinated. (ie: Kennedy, Nixon)

I think it is completely ridiculous that some people are so small-minded and cannot look beyond race to the fact that this man actually has a great plan that will not only help the United States out of their economic slump but also other countries around the world.

These Neo-Nazis concern themselves with blacks whom have grown up and been raised in the US, what about spending time finding the people who plan to do damage to your sytems and families like the damage in 9-11 which I know well a lot of "Neo-Nazis" lost some of their own, how about laying some interest there and leaving that man alone to do better for our countries?

I don't mean to sound like religion activist, but why not for once let God do the work and stop allowing the devil to rule the world?

Straight from my mouth to Barack Obama, "Do not allow these people to scare you out of power, you have made it too far, if we lose you to another ridiculous assasination remember, on Judgement Day you yourself and family will meet again in heaven and maybe if only for the time being you can make some great changes that are desparately needed

GO OBAMA, you have my vote!!! I'll be praying for you and your families safety. Afterall, I read an article that Tom Cruise has armored and bomb proof vehicles fo rhim and his family, maybe you should invest in some yourself.

And run the *hit out the country!!!

There is a thing that Journalist use to have which was integrity and an ability to build a story based on "ALL" the facts, not just the words or sentiments that served a persoanal or other biased purpose.

The quote, "The only threat to the Obama campaign in the next week is the festering threat that Americans will take to the streets and riot if McCain wins" Erbie used, failed to include the other comparable statement made in the article she referenced saying the same [about whites] if Obama wins.

The one thing this specific campaign has brought out is the subliminal racist ideology and tactics that has simmered below the surface since the civil rights, and federal invervention of the late sixties outlawed the outright terroristic acts of bombing, and murder of Blacks whites not only found common place but celebrated.

What happed to liberty and justice for "ALL"? What happened to the greatest commandant after the love of god, which is to love your enemies as you love yourself, which at its most elementary interpretation means give them the same fair and equal consideration you would like and expect.

The color and code of American racism in the United States has been White against Black for the most miniscule reason of skin tone, and Bonnie Erbie has effectively exposed hers

As a registered democrat, I am discouraged that the party’s nominee has refused to supply pertinent documents to validate his eligibility status. He has also failed to make his college transcripts, records, college thesis, his associations, both past and present, open for public scrutiny. The press has failed the American electorate, fair and balanced journalism is non-existent. I will be voting Country First before party, the Republican Ticket gets my vote straight down the ballot.

I am not actually an American so cannot vote for Obama however I am a citizen of this threatened planet! George Bush and his croneys chose to support the Oil Magnates at the expense of building alternative energy supplies which would have created jobs way into the future. As it is now we have lost precious time for our children and must work quickly to avoid the perilous Temperature rises that will melt the permafrost .If this happens then we will all be up the proverbial. The trouble with the Bush crowd is they are so upo edach others bottoms that they could not imagine the end of the planet. What with Nuculear Arms Races and now this for goodness sake let Barack Obama have a go at saving us and put the other mob in Jail where they belong!

After hearing a racist remark about Obama that's really a Shame on John McCain he enjoyed seeing his fan shot an Obama-fan and just point and laughed. What a nonsense he is, Race is not a factor! Natives were here first then the Europeans! I'm not racist but.... GET ALONG!!!!
