McCains choice of Palin will be his downfall. She is in no way shape or form qualified to be VP. By most reports she has now gone rogue on campaign staffers as she has the audacity to think that she is a viable candidate for a 2012 run at the Presidency. I doubt her future in Alaska as well. The GOP needs to reinvent itself with an intelligent generational change and a new direction. Their old school style and total lack of a plan to get America out of this mess is costing the GOP the Whitehouse. McCain was a poor choice and his choice of Palin was even worse. The people running McCains campaign have also been outclassed. I havent heard anything of substance from either one on the economy, or the war, only statements like, I know how to fix it, I know how to get Bin Laden, and the best was , We will get some "smart people" to fix social security. The thought of these 2 in the Whitehouse is frightening.

Can anyone explain to me what the significance is of the question of Barack Obama's religious affiliation? I am an atheist, and couldn't care less what Barack Obama believes, or doesn't believe in. We already have a Christian President who sucks, got us into two wars and a financial disaster and has done NOTHING about this country's problems, why would we want another one like him? These are the same imbeciles who are spending MILLIONS of dollars to ban same sex marriages in California, like it's important, like Alzheimers disease or Polio! What the Hell is wrong with these people?

The reason we hang on her every word, and every scrap of info that comes out about her, is that we know NOTHING of this woman!

She won't/can't do the Sunday morning talk show circuit, and her few mainstream news interviews have been disaters. So Sara we know ye so little.

As a democrat, I am delighted that McCain picked her. She is a certifiable nutcase that can not even speak coherently. The Republican strategists have been given the impossible task of making her appear well-educated, knowledgeable and reasonable. GOOD LUCK WITH THAT!!! On the other hand, Obama has wisely chosen someone that could step in should the need arise without causing the nation to cringe. Of course Biden has made his share of gaffes, but it's because Obama trusts his judgement enough to not keep him on a short leash or in a closet. In hindsight, the republicans would of been better off keeping her in a closet than displaying her and removing all doubt.

Bush's tax cuts were designed to be temporary in nature. They were never permanent and were designed to expire. I should point out that they were passed by a Republican congress who questioned who were skeptical of them at the time. If I am not mistaken McCain was one of the skeptics.

In an NPR interview, Alan Greenspan said that he and Bush were talking about the budget projetions in 2001 and that given current tax revenue projections the government would be debt free by 2006 and post surpluses after that time (this was before 9/11). Neither Bush not Grrenspan wanted a budget surplus because it would mean that the US goverment would need to invest the money in the US securities markets. They felt the US govenment should not invest in private equities markets (although they think it is fine for the Chinese, Russians, Arabs, etc. to do so). So the tax cut idea was born.

Now 8 years latter we are over 4 trillion more in debt than when Bush took office. So every man, woman, and child in the US is now $35,000 in debt thanks to Bush and his tax cuts. So a family of 4 is $140,000 in debt. At some point in time this money needs to be paid back.

Now Greenspan, Bernanke and Paulson all think that his level of debt is not a problem. But they also thought that giving loans to people people with bad credit to buy houses was not a problem either. McCain say's he can cut the pork out of government and pay it off. Even if he can (which I doubt) it would take about 60 years.

The difference at $250,000 between McCain's and Obama's tax plan is about $600. Hardly a significant amount given that level of income. Also when tax bills go through congress they are changed so the actual difference will probably be less.

What a joke!

What do YOU really know?

The most Secretive and Liberal Democratic Candidate Ever!

Obama, just days away from possibly being elected president, continues to stonewall a growing chorus of information requests for documents about his legislative, personal health, education, financing, and background

Obama has released just one brief document detailing his personal health.

Obama has refused to offer his official papers as a state legislator in Illinois

Obama has not released his client list as an attorney or his billing records

Obama won’t release his college records

Obama’s campaign refuses to give Columbia University, where he earned an undergraduate degree in political science, permission to release his transcripts

has not disclosed the names of small donors giving $200 or less to his campaign.

No one knows this man. We do know from his own words that he believes that he and the government know how to spend your hard earn money better than your dumbass. So he is going to tax everything possible and spend money for anything and everything.

"95% of Americans will get a tax cut" Is that after the repeal of the Bush tax cuts which will affect everyone that "pays" taxes. He is a Socialist pure and simple.

He is a slick talking lawyer that will say anything you want to hear. The only reason he hasn't been pounded like every other politician is because he is black, and everyone is scared to be called racist.

I can't wait for the poised, intelligent and compassionate liberal to take my money and give it on all the lazy cry babies that want to blame everyone else for their bad decisions.

I don't like McCain either but at least he won't be eager to take my hard earned money
