John McCain Doesn’t Get a Game-Changer Against Barack Obama

America, listen up, one candidate is talking about continuing the current war for 100 years, while the other is talking about bringing the soliders home. Stop looking at this war as if we are quitting if we come home. These people live to die -roadside bombs, humans wearing bombs. I know you ask yourself every once and awhile why are we over there.

Someones retaliation for a threat made on their dad? Weapons of mass destruction? This war is costing this country billions. Also, how many of our allies whose land/air/sea we protect are alongside our soldiers

Regardless of who is elected this country is in a mess. It is not totally George W."s fault, remember a lot of laws/policies are passed or not passed by our elected officials. Also, we are a country of people who want it all-three car garage, $500,000 homes, consumers of energy/water and hoarders. Most of the stores we shop at offer energy reducing tips, books, and devices and why are not using them? Because it is someone elses responsibility. How many of us recycle?

As far as the comment concerning Russia. I served during the cold war, of course since we did not serve during an actual conflict we are not warranted the same respect-but we were better trained in the event. We were on READY. Anyway, Russia's demeanor is unchanged-they want to be the SUPER POWER. WATCH THEM.... WATCH ALL OF THEM...

Remeber this administration wanted to listen in on our phone calls and internet activity.

One final comment America do your homework, we need to stop being so divided. There are hardworking, educated, non-drug using/non-carjacking/non-dead beat African Americans. Instead of listening to the likes of Sarah Palin who is a "nominee" for VP., smear Obama who was elected as the Democratic candidate (big difference) think about who you want to represent this country. There is a lot of housekeeping that needs to be done here and abroad.

I am pretty sick of hearing all the negative media about both sides. However, I noticed when McCain asked Obama and other members to put their differences aside and come together as a united team to save our economy the other week, Obama was all too eager to use that as a negative platform against McCain. I think most American's are ready for the election to be over with and move forward.

I for one and tired of hearing the negatives and want a president with some strong leadership and experience. I think age is not the issue, but experience in foreign politics and providing safety to our men and women in uniform who are still on foreign soil protecting the innocent is the issue. McCain is a Veteran and knows first hand what it would be like if we were to fight this war in our own back yard. I shudder to think how Barack Obama would handle such an issue. We can't always play nice in the sandbox! I hope that no one wants "war", but make no mistake; if push comes to shove, we must have a leader who is not afraid to step up and say enough is enough and "go get em". We can't lay down and let our enemy destroy American's and everything the American Flag stands for in this country. I support John McCain and wish him the best in this presidential election. If asked the question "Do you support everything either candidate believes?" the answer would be no. In politics that is the issue, we as Americans must choose which candidate holds the most cards in favor of the American people and is not afraid to put God first. I think John McCain does and therefore, he deserves vote and yours!

John Kerry had superior military experience over President Bush. The 'vote for the veteran' theory of (Gail from TX) would be interesting to test - Gail, did you vote for Kerry?

Also Al Gore had in-country service in Vietnam; Bush did not. Jimmy Carter had submarine experience; Reagan never left California. Deciding that military experience counts in the years your candidate has that experience, and doesn't count in the years he doesn't, is hypocritical.

That's why borrowing $5 Trillion dollars to bust open a balanced budget and make it a huge deficit is a NATIONAL SECURITY issue not just a BORROW-AND-SPEND issue. We are taking money we may need in the future to confront unforeseen dangers and we're sending it to China for financing our debt.

I'm a National Security voter, which is why I vote Democratic. Bush2 has put America in grave danger; future generations, my son and daughters, will be spending a large part of their tax dollars on Reagan-Bush-Bush2 deficits that they may need to face their own challenges in their own age.

What gives Bush-McCain supports the right to push today's tax burden on to tomorrow's voters, when we started Bush2's term with a balanced budget? Why did we pump $5 trillion in borrowed money into the economy, causing asset bubbles like housing inflation that exceeded income? This influx of borrowed money caused a distortion of market economics (I'm also a fiscal conservative - which is why I vote Democratic).

When the time comes that we need money to confront Russia, thanks to Bush-McCain tax policies this money will be sent to China instead as interest on their strangling debt.

I trust McCain. The words he spoke at the debate were from the heart. I think it should be a requirement that anyone who runs for president of this wonderful country should have served in the Armed Forces. Has this country forgot all the blood shed for the USA and the freedom that we enjoy? My brother served on the USS Forrestal with McCain when it burned. McCain was/is a true military man all the way. It's in his blood. Vote McCain if you love this country and your freedom.

The McCain/ Palin ticket is about the dirtiest I have ever seen. As I perused the daily newspapers, I was shocked to read an article that stated while McCain was campaigning he incited the crowd by questioning Obama's patriotism, and asking, "Who is Obama?" When the crowd started yelling "A Terrorist!, A Terrorist!" the McCains just laughed and encouraged the crowd!

Later Sarah Palin, the conservative Christian, the hockey Mom and McCain's pit bull also continued to compare Obama to a terrorrist and incited the crowd to yell, "Kill him! Kill him!"

I guess the McCain/Palin ticket is so desparate they have chosen the route of lies, deceit and distraction on their ambitious journey to the White House. I am glad the nation does not take the McCain/Palin ticket serious anymore and will not vote for the McCain/Palin ticket whose chose to conduct their campaign with lies, deceit, and dirty tactics. I guess they think Americans are so dumb they can be easily distracted. I have news for them both---Americans are not dumb and we will not be distracted by lies, deceit and distractions---have we not seen these tactics before??

I heard something scary last night that I had not heard before and John McCain was the aware one here. He was talking about Russia and Vladamir Putin, Russian Federation President. McCain said that he looked into his eyes when he first came into power and saw the initials "K. G. B". My late husband, so attuned to the world about him all his life, said when Putin came to power, "beware this guy, Putin, watch carefully the Russian Maffia - it's a different Russia, and surely more frightening in every way." America, this is a tough one, this 2008 election. McCain's style is not as articulate as Obama, but his message about Russia cannot be ignored - no matter who is elected. Europe is terrified of this new Russian landscape, and rightfully so.

I WISH THAT MCCAIN WOULD HAVE SPENT MORE TIME FOCUSING

ON THE IMMEDIATE PROBLEMS AND HOW TO FIX THEM

THAN RETALIATING ON OBAMA. IT SEEMED TO ME WHEN HE DOES

THAT IT MAKES HIM LOOK WEAK.

HE CAN'T AFFORD TO GET HUFFY. A STRONG PRESIDENT

CAN'T BE PETTY.

I WANT TO KNOW ABOUT JOBS THAT ARE MISSING HERE IN MICHIGAN.

I WANT TO KNOW WHY ALL THE TALK IS ABOUT PEOPLE WITH LOTS OF

MONEY AND THERE ARE ALOT OF US REPUBLICANS THAT FALL BELOW

THAT LINE. WHERE IS THE HELP FOR US???????????????
