Unfortunately, the vast majority of Americans are naive and idiots, at least this is what we think in Europe. This is the reason why we love BHO: He is not american, but african, he is radical, he is a socialist and......America will be doomed with him as President! What a joy! We hate America and hope BHO will destroy it!

Reality check - yes the repubs have been scewing things up over the past 8 years but they weren't alone.. the dems have had congress for the past 2 years and they have done nothing.. apparently you don't know anyone with the last name of Frank (head of the Financial Services Committee) or Pelosi (house majority leader), Dodd (Chairman of the Senate Banking and Housing and Urban Affairs committee) , we can't forget Reid (senate majority leader.)

I think what we need is more democratic in-action that'll move the country forward.

McCain and Palin are sinking and are so desperate that they have gone so low to now claim that Senator Obama is a terroist? They should talk about the economy and what they will do for the country and how they are going to do it instead of name calling and smear speeches. I guess they don't have anything good to say because they have no real plan.

What might be the "game changer" for John McCain?

For me, it would be "I'm Sorry. We were wrong and I apoligize."

The democrats always want to blame the President, lets talk about the free trade agreement made by Clinton and how everything we buy now is Made in China,it doesn't take a genius to figure out that were heading down the wrong road. Then lets talk about how the democrats have been in power in the congress for the last two years and that they're to blame for the economy. Sure we lose less money when there's a democrat president but thats because they raise every tax we got. I say lets reduce government spending by half for a start and stop stealing our money through social security, then we might actually start getting somewhere.

All you have to do to sere which party is really conservative fiscally is look at the deficits over the last 50 years.

Eisenhower-record deficits

Kennedy-Johnson-balanced budget 1967

Nixon-record deficits

Ford-record deficits

Carter-Balalnce budget 1979

Reagan-record deficits

Clinton-balanced budget 1999

Bush2-record dseficits

I can think can you? The record speaks for itself.

Ok, this needs to be stated. This is not a bail out. We as tax payers are buying these loans from the loan companies. We will probably pay less than market value for these loans. We will then hold on to them for a short term. We will then sell these back to the market in the future and probably make a profit. Here is the real kicker, if and when we make a profit on these loans we will never see a dime of the money that we the tax payers invested into this. Let me repeat, this is not a bail out. If handled properly we will make a profit off of this.

This is being called a bail out, it is not a bail out. I am not sure I agree with the expansion of government, nor am I sure that this move is completely constitutional. However, I am pretty sure that population out there could careless whether it is constitutional. Let me repeat again, this is not a bail out.

Not much. Except it excited the hard right, even though the general public said that Biden won. However, it won't make a difference in the overall direction this race is taking. McCain is losing ground rapidly and it doesn't appear he's going to win.

Don't believe me? Look at Ohio and Florida: McCain trails in both and Virginia and North Carolina and Nevada are all slipping away too.

Hey Republicans: Got Panic?

Fatesrider of Ca I couldn't have said it better. All you have to do is look at what the republicans have done to the country over the last 7.5 years. I'd much rather see our tax dollars back into the people of this country (ie jobs, schools, midd;e class, infrastructure) than out of the country (war, offshore corporations and companies that send jobs overseas) or into the pockets of the already rich. I can say with confidence that we don't have a 700 billion dollar welfare program, but that we're down to like 26th in the world in education (and I don't have kids so I'm not biased because of that). Sure there are those who abuse the welfare system, but I think its been proven that the rich are just as likely, if not more so, to abuse the system and the taxpayers, but the costs to us is so very much more. I am neither a democrat nor a republican but its true that the people putting the money into the system (the middle class--you don't really believe the rich pay taxes do you?) are the ones who really need it right now so this is where it should go. I'd rather be taken advantage of by the poor people than the ones that already have more than their fair share. Capitalism is an awesome, awe-inspiring concept, but it still comes down to the people in charge. It amazes me to see the number of people worried about some poor slob getting welfare when we're all getting it stuck to us by those greedy bastards in power. Doesn't anybody want their tax dollars put back into the system?
