Obama Widens Lead as McCain's Poll Numbers Melt Down

When Barack Obama first announced he was running for President, I was thrilled that a black man could be the next President of the United States. My vote was decided. As a proud African American woman with a college degree and a working brain, I decided I needed to REALLY get to know my candidate much better so I could rally support for his/our cause. After much research over the last few months, I have realized that Barack Obama is not the man that I originally thought he was and that his interests are not necessarily in the best interest of we "middle class" people. His scarce voting record is not one that favors ordinary people and his elitist views would not better serve our interests. There are so many areas where he is lacking or just totally wrong for the average American. I urge everyone who is planning to vote for Obama to step back and open your mind and eyes and REALLY look closely at his record. Don't have the "follow the herd" mentality like I did. After checking him out, I felt really stupid that I was taken in by his fast talking rhetoric and his smooth lines. I think he would be much better qualified to be a used car salesman than the President of the US. Just a warning to those who choose not to do their research--BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR!

While I could like Barack Obama I cannot in clear conscience vote for someone who listened to Rev. Wright for 20 years condemn America by saying God D--- America...

I find it strange that people are still talking about one's Preacher with no blood relation to the candidate. The Vice-Presidential choice for the Republican ticket married an individual who had 7 years worth of political affiliation with and belonged to a political party who believes in separating from the Union if they do not get their way. In your personal life, when you are looking for advice, who do you or would you listen to more...Your Preacher or Your Spouse? Abe Lincoln must be rolling over in his grave.

Obama a presidential hopeful reflects what America as the nation wants to be in the next 100 years to come.He incorporates dynamic ideas in terms of Economy as well as middle class growth than his opponent MCain whose wants us to leave and dwell on the historical past which doesn't necessarily have relevance today .

With Obama , who would see a lot of improved economy, wealth creation and inspiring future. People do not very much credit Obama with the ability and enabling expertise to keep America security safe.Let me clearly pin point this out, the question of America security is every Americans responsibility. It doesn't solely rely on one man ability or disability. After all, president is surrounded by men and women who are exceedingly exceptional in security issues than either Mcain or Bush. What Obama does not have in terms of the security issues will be complimented by his security advisory board so lets not worry, our men and women in law enforcement will never let America down.

The other thing about Obama, is he cuts across diverse spectrum of America. He represents the poor and have not well compared to Mcain who has spent the rest if his 72 years in Washington, rubbing shoulders with rich people.

Can Mcain, understand the piteous life of Americans who cannot afford health care, good schoold for their children, low income earning, and increasing difficult of many parents to afford to buy their homes. Mcain only asks where to board to night based on the number of the houses he owns.

Lets be serious Obama fit this Nation for such a time like this.

Hurray Obama

I read with the development of politics in USA. We do not want to see another Bush in the white house that has brought a lot of misery around the world we want peace and prosperity in all regions of the world. The citizens of the world belive that the american people will do the right thing and vote the republican outofthewhitehouse.

Never in the history has a man with black background made so much impact in the US of A like Barak Obama.

Infact even if he doesn't eventually become the next American President, he has already made history as the first black man to make it to the Presidential nomination of a dominant political party in the USA.

But I am definitely persuaded that Barak Obama is the man for the times we are in now.

Under George Bush and the Republicans, America is on the brink of a collapse. I wonder what our detractors (and they are legion) would say should we come down; we therefore do not need another Republican in the White House to preside over the fall of American Empire but a Democrat in the colour and person of Barak Obama to bail us out.

He has the carriage, the mien, the personality and the vision to do so.

Let us wake up from our slumber, abandon all prejudices and differences that have not served us well uptil now and give Barak Obama our votes.

As sure as the sun is to rise from the East, he would not disappoint us.

Wake up America!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Erbe is, and has been doing her level best to get fellow liberal Barrack Obama elected. It's hard to take her articles serious, because they are so slanted one way. No CRED whatsoever!

While I could like Barack Obama I cannot in clear conscience vote for someone who listened to Rev. Wright for 20 years condemn america by saying God D--- America and whose wife just became proud to be American when her husband started running for president is this the kind of person you want as our first lady?

I pray that Obama doesn't win the election. I find it humurous that people see experience as being "old".... If Obama wins it will simply be because people are affraid that the blacks will riot or scream discrimation again like they always do!!!!!

To all you parents out there would you designate in your will a person who is unfit to be a parent to become the legal guardian of your children if God forbid something happened to you? Well, 72 year old, "Country First" John McCain has done just that by his disastrous pick of Sarah Palin as his VP. It is silly, really. And we might be able to let silly slide in peaceful times but with two wars, with Venezuela, Iran, and North Korea all aiming to go nuclear, with tensions with Russia over Georgia mounting again, and China racing to start its own Space Program all while the U.S. economy is crumbling at home, SILLY IS JUST PLAIN DANGEROUS! Republicans, independents, and democrats should all unite and demand a new VP pick from John McCain, just for our own security if he should get elected. Then we need to still recognize that John McCain sacrificed the safety and well-being of our country for a hopeful block of votes! This shows serious lack of judgement in this matter. I know many people like Sarah Palin and she is likeable, but let's face it, Paris Hilton or Brittany Spears are about as qualified as she to run the country! We have few allies left in this world and our competitiveness in the world is slipping. Americans sometimes take what we have for granted but we need to remember we aren't entitled to all the resources we have in this country, we need to compete globally for them. Wake up, John McCain put us at serious risk and this is not a president we want to run the country.
