I am sorry but we can't just elect someone because of gender! I would agree with the message posted...She lacks understanding of issues that are so critical to Americans. If women just look at gender, America is in BIG TROUBLE! We can not afford to have someone with such little experience in economics and foreign policy in a government leadership position. The media needs to stop this double standard for Palin. She is in the big game...let her play...She attacks Obama constantly but should he attack her...The media and women would run to rescue Palin! I hope that all people including women understand what is at stake. We must not just give our votes but look at all the facts and make an educated decision!Governor Palin---Please study some government and economic books!!

Palin has been a great gift to Obama.

My friends and I, all former staunch Clinton supporters, have all swung decisively toward Obama. Many of us were on the fence before Palin was chosen, but not anymore. We are all now firmly behind Obama

It's amazing how quickly this occurred--Palin is so polarizing that we were all galvanized into taking action to make sure that McCain does not win. We're giving money to Obama's campaign and some of us are even working actively for Obama.

You know, a lot of Obama's people know that Palin has been a great gift to Obama, so the fear is that someone Palin will bow out and McCain will choose a centrist. With McCain, you never know because he shoots from the hip, is impetuous and will do anything to try to swing the momentum in his favor (a very dangerous combination of traits for a president). However, I think that even if this does happen, most people have made up their minds already, so only a small percentage will swing back.

Choosing Palin was an egregiously bad decision.

wow, let's see: Palin extravangaza, failing.

Let's see, I'll cancel my campaign, as a stunt, and come in and 'save the day" in Washingto...oops, saw right through that one.

Okay, let's see, I'm running out of stunts here.. since I don't really have a good platform of reform, and good new fresh ideas, and not a real grasp on the middle class and their serious concerns...I think I'll, yeah create more distractions.

If any of you Republicans still hanging on to your false pride, and wanting to vote for me have any fresh ideas of how else I can manipulate this thing, please send to: John McCain.

I'm running out of time here people!

Sincerely,

McBush.

I don't know who these white women are that are "wising up". I'm in that category, and in my opinion, the "wising up" ones must have their head in the sand. What could they be seeing that they like? A vote for Obama is a vote for taxes that will bury us all. A vote for Obama is a vote that makes the inexperienced kindergartener president of the senior class. Someone mentioned depth and knowledge - Obama is a shell of a politician, always looking the part, and spouting off what he thinks YOU want to hear. Where is the substance? What have his actions, the true judge of who he is, shown us? Oh yeah, he is 'present'. Delightful.

Erbe is just one more liberal that thinks she can change peoples mind with her editorials/polls... I've already made up my mind who I'm going to vote for. You can't change that no matter what you write, no matter how loud you scream and stomp your feet. Your audiance is small, the undecided voter. Your polls only poll those who take the time to answer them (liberals). Write about something factual, U.S. New and World Report is the only weekly worth reading anymore. Don't ruin that with polls.

I was very happy to see Gov. Palin finally interview with a journalist without all the pomp and circumstance of her previous Gibson interview. Couric really did the American people a great service by asking the questions that we were all seeking the answers to from Gov. Palin.

The interview showed that not only is Gov. Palin "Not Ready To Lead" being that she may seriously be "one heartbeat away" from the presidency under McCain, but that she had no prior in depth knowledge of these issues prior to her VP nod (if she had, her interview w/Couric would have made sense), that she is not a quick learner (her GOP cram session on all matters presidential culminated in "gobbledygook" speak when trying to rehash her rehearsed talking points), she may have issues with doing more than one thing at a time (on this professional scale), and that other professional working women and mothers will not give her a pass just because she is "one of them". She has to earn her spot and her keep.

The America we face now will take more than "folksy" talk, rimmed glasses, pinned up hair, knee high boots and mooseburgers to lead effectively and productively.

To Gov. Palin's leadership of our country (and McCain's pick of Gov. Palin for VP), I say, "Thanks, But No Thanks! If I wanted a working professional mom who is inexperienced in presidential matters and not ready to lead this country, I'd find a better one myself"!
