The first thing that I want to say is "I don't recall a big debate or or much to be said about who Mcains running mate (VP) was going to be.Barack has the right to chose who he wants. If Hillery can accept it then why can't her supporters and others? Sure, I liked Hillery too but what's over is over. So to all Democrats and those that are tired of living this way WAKE Up and vote Barack!!

osama is an equificating pusilanimus pinhead. go back to your ivory tower in chicago and give adile stephens a high five.

oh and great looking strike out at saddelback.

in truth osama should have ansewer no comment on the abortion question. as a man on intellegence he knows the the murder of unborn in indefensable. the democrat party lost it soul in 1972 when it turned its back on the most innocent and defensely of all the unborn.

even worse -- oh thats above my pay grade -- thats right lets make a joke out of the slaughter of 80 million uborn babies and counting . the blood of the slaughted is dripping from the hands of every voter who has cast a vote for a democrat since 1972. And i am sure there is special basement in hell for there leaders mcgover, carter, dukakis, clinton, gore, kerry and now osama.

Hilalry has MORE than earned the VP slot.

If she does not get it - it will be viewed as a slap in the face to her MANY supporters. I have voted for a democrat in every primary and general election since 1988:

1988 IL Primary - Jessee Jackson

1988 General - Mike Dukakis

1992 IL Primary - Paul Tsongas

1992 General - Bill Clinton

1996 General - Bill Clinton

2000 IL Primary - Al Gore

2000 General - Al Gore

2004 IL Primary - John Kerry

2004 General - John Kerry

But if Hillary is not on the ticked as VP - Obama will not get my vote. He needs to suck it up - face the reality that she got every vote that he did - and put her where she belongs, on the ticket as VP>

We observe that voters clearly don't respond to "thoughtful" positions on complex issues, even when thoughtfulness reflects better judgment than "shooting from the hip". I'd be happy to see Obama provide some brief and appealing "capsules" of his goals as a President, contrasted with the opposing brief capsule of what McCain's position is... We need to see Obama's supporters responding with enthusiastic applause to the one and irrepressible "boooos" to the other. A little bit of healthy populism would create the dynamics that we are losing... The real difference between McCain and Obama's ABC's for their simplistic audiences would be that from Obama we would get truthful statements while McCain would remain on the gutter track that he loves because it has proven expedient for him. Of the 12 Democrats in my family, who all voted for Hillary, only 2 will be voting for Barack, and those two are only doing so because they feel strongly about NOT voting Republican, not because they are enamored with Obama. They actually like McCain, though, and have won't be upset if McCain wins. Out of the ten family members who will be voting for John McCain, eight have them have NEVER EVER voted for a Republican for president. It harkens back to an article you wrote about how the Obama-Clinton clash destroyed the Democratic Party. I cannot quote it perfectly but the point you made hit the nail on the head. You wrote that the number of Democrats the party would lose by backing Obama was far more than it would gain, and once gone, they would never return. I will vote as an Independent from now on. But for sure, I will never ever contribute money to the Democratic Party again.
