John McCain's Sexist Gaffe: Cindy McCain in a Topless Biker Pageant?

Was John McCain aware that when he touted his wife Cindy's beauty and suggested she compete in a biker beauty pageant, the contest features topless women?

If so or even if not, in the words of the late, great Desi Arnaz, McCain has some 'splainin' to do. He made the gaffe at a motorcycle rally in South Dakota on Monday that featured an Obama-size crowd (most of whom showed up no doubt to see Kid Rock, Def Leppard, and REO Speedwagon.) Follow the link to see the video.

Salon quotes McCain: "I encouraged Cindy to compete," he told the crowd. "I told her [that] with a little luck, she could be the only woman to serve as both the first lady and Miss Buffalo Chip."

Before she becomes first lady, he has to become president. And his chances hinge on winning the votes of white women who are over 40. Chances are, they are more likely to be turned off by McCain's latest gaffe than they were by Obama's use of the term "sweetie" twice on the campaign trail earlier this year. At least Obama had the decency to apologize for his indiscretion.

I think the MSM missed one of the greater points about this story: why was the contest called "Miss Buffalo Chip?"

The only CONCEIVABLE reason I can think of is that it's a call-back to the old blonde joke:

How is a blonde like a buffalo chip?

The older they are, the easier they are to pick up!

Now THAT'S sexist--and not ONCE did I find anybody digging beyond the surface.

Here's another woman over 40 on record as voting for McCain! Articles like this just show how out of touch and in the bag the press is for Obama. Barry is an empty suit, a fake smile, and one, too many "Sweeties" for this voter. The women of America will not be well served by Barry-O.

McCain is a sleeze-bag when it comes to women. He had affairs when he was married to his first wife and tried to marry his second wife while still married to his first.
