Has Barack Obama Peaked Too Soon?

Frankly, I don't care since I am not voting for either. In my opinion, neither party has given the American people a decent candidate for president since DDE, except Reagan and maybe Carter but both have bungled the overall job immensely. I do define a candidate as a bona fide patriot. Both parties do not have this countries best interests in mind--they power hungry.

There is nothingPoetic about McCain getting a free ride from the media? McCain has flip-flopped, pandered, lied and stumbled his way through the last 3 weeks and I have heard virtually nothing from the media.

If you don't think the media is against Obama, watch Fox News. I turned it on for an hour and was disgusted with the reporting. Every story about Obama had a negative tossed in first. They were attacking his wife too. What happened to the days when newscasters actually reported the news and discussed the issues?

When you step back and look at Obamas positions on the issues, with any objectivity at all, you will see that his positions are very commonsensical and well thought out.

Nobody wants our constitution trampled under or rampant wiretapping, but we must admit there are situations and individuals that dictate that we must have a mechanism in place with proper oversight. The FISA legislation is not perfect but it is better than nothing.

Most of us think that Abortion is a shame and should never occur. Many of us believe that, ultimately, it is the pregnant woman and her family that should make this decision. We are not anti-life, we are pro choice.Late term abortions should not take place without a valid reasons ( possible death of mother, etc) Emotional distress should not be an excuse, mental illness ?.Possibly.There is not one law that can address every possible situation.

When people actually read the votes and research the reason for a vote or opinion expressed by Barack Obama, they normally find they are full of very sound logic and a common sense conclusions. Now, You may too blinded by your preconceived ideas and suppositions but that is your problem.

You are all wrong. There is a pause in the campaigning as the parties gear up for the conventions. That will re-launch the campaigns. People just aren't paying attention right now and will come into the conversation at that time. Perfect time to fine-tune and tweak the agenda for the re-launch.

Obama will be ready to rope his maverick, brand him with a GWB, and ride him into the ground. Oh wait, Bush already did that to McCain. Offered up a pot of gold, the Presidency, and got him to sell his soul. Sad really.

I am a veteran and used to admire McCain, but he hasn't supported vets issue and has completely turned over on his back. He used to show integrity and resolve, but now can't seem to keep his thoughts straight or be for those of us that he should respect. Unfortunately, he is now a female dog on a leash, that leash being campaign contributions, held by Neocons...

Sad that Bush has become his sugar daddy. Who is your Daddy McCain?

The certification of our nominee is in August. Hillary has suspended not ended her campaign. I speak for me not Hillary when I say Hillary needs to be on nomination roll call ballot. During the last 2 weeks Obama has been all over the place like a cube of Jello. I don't know if his promises for Universal Healthcare and getting out of Iraq in 16 months will be certainties once he is elected. This spectacle with Gernmany is embarrassing for the US, an Obama administration may make us miss Bush. I am tired of Democrats ,including Hillary who I adore, telling me we are all part of the Democrat family so support Obama. And pundits saying we Hillary supporters will all unite behind the nominee. HELLO. 20% of the US electorate are swing voters from states like mine. They do not unite behibnd a candidate because of party. Like all swing voters, I am not part of the Democratic family nor the Republican family but the American family. I voted for Reagan in 84 and Bush in 92. Bill Clinton's policies changed me to a dem for about a decade. The liberals are so jealous of the Clintons they will do whatever it takes to destroy them, even if that involves destroying the country. I am sure there are MORE than 18 million cracks in the ceiling by now.

It's really quite simple. The more people get to know Obama, the less they like him. Which is easy to understand, because there really isn't much to like about such a naive, arrogant, inexperienced out of touch guy like Obama. This also explains why Obama hasn't released his fund raising numbers for June. They must be far below what the Obama campaign predicted.

To Wolfgang:

Another thing that makes BlackJack in Vegas more fun than betting on politics is the free drinks and the "buxom" waitresses who deliver them to you at the tables.

Back to Reality: Obama is really an "empty suit". He has indeed changed course ("flip-flopped") on many of his policies, but refuses to admit it. He is a very convincing liar when he tells people he "has been consistent" on this or that matter, despite the presence of audiotapes that prove otherwise. I'm beginning to think that, in this category (lying) at least, he ranks right up there with W. J. Clinton.

Peaked too early? America hasn't even had a chance to see NObama in a real debate. Watch his numbers really fall as McCain will take him to the woodshed! Mr. Inexperience & Flip-flopper would be "Carter-lite"! NObama, Keep the Change!
