I'm a retired ARMY SGM w/35 years of service and find it difficult to believe that any military officer (active or retired) would put our country in the hands of a smooth talking politician with absolutely NO experience at anything. Like clinton, obama wrecked the state he served. I'm ashamed of powell , putting my country in the hands of someone w/terrorist connections. SHAME SHAME SHAME. God bless america.

Powell's reasoning is as vapid as the endorsement itself, claiming that Obamessaiah would solve the economic problems and help "improve our world standing."
'World standing' among Islamofascist nation-states and leftist European entities like Britain, who's becoming more Dhimmified by the day, and 'improving the economy' with spreading the wealth' socialism.
The Socialists, Communists, and radical muslims are salivating for a 'change they can believe in'.
Obama's past and current affliations, along with his radical economic and foreign policy ideology, are indicative of someone who will do serious damage to national security and give a green light for more attacks against this country.
Powell has been leaning leftward for awhile, anyway. He flip-flopped ala Kerry, when it came to Iraq. He argued against going all the way to Baghdad in 1991, which would have saved us a second trip, did a u-turn supporting the belated invasion in 2002, and then started ascribing to the democrats' cut-and-run idea.
He promoted Arafat, advocates shuting down GITMO and giving the terrorist thugs easy access to ACLU hacks and the same rights afforded American citizens. He's played the race card, too. During an MTV interview, said the only reason he was picked for Secretary of State was because he 'looked white'.
He was a uniformed career E-Ring politician and he benefited from the Republican-dominated Reagan-Bush era.
Whatever his position, he's always been on "Colin Powell's" side.
While Powell flirts with the left, he'd better know what they've thought of him in the past. "Warmonger" was one of their favorite terms, and they were not averse to depicting him in racist terms, especially in cartoon form. (Ted Rall)

Saddam Hussein, as evidenced by the WMD found, his previous use, continued willingness to use them, and the documents discovered which connected him to terrorists, was a threat. The fact remains that the inspectors got absolutely nowhere with regard to full disclosure of Hussein’s WMD program.

Why are people surprise that Colin Powell is supporting Obama?I would be supprised if it were General Franks or General Pietris. Now that would be a change Don;t bet on it.

I knew this was coming. Powell, a life long Republican, endorses someone other than a Republican, and the GOP reponds like they always do......by smearing his good name. Is it any wonder that your party is shrinking? God forbid that it's possible he is actually endorsing Obama because of something other than race. Is it possible that a black republican man can actually think beyond race? His explanation goes well beyond that issue. Perhaps the doubters ought to listen to his inteview. It seems pretty genuine to me and it reflects what many Americans have been thinking.
Wake up all of you Dwellers of the Right Fringe. You're about to become irrelevant if you keep up this hateful behavior. Moderate Republicans are becoming Independents and Independents are being forced to vote Democratic. You have no one but yourselves to blame. The last 8 years have been a nightmare thanks to your arrogance, secrecy, and divisiveness. I look forward to the day that you all remove the destructive plaque from your collective brains. Perhaps then we'll be able to give serious consideration to the Grand Ole Party once again.

I was in the military stationed in Viet Nam with Powell. A product of Affimative Action, we hated this SOB... he never made a decision and played politics with our lives in mortal combat conditions to gain his general stars.
This fraud never did anything right in any position he held in the military or the government.
Powell is, in fact, a JUDAS weasel, a closet subversive and a disgrace to the uniform he wore.

Powell is a traitor to the GOP and is obviously supporting Obama only because he is black, I can't understand how liberal and most moderate whites can be so guilt ridden, it's obviously clear that blacks are sticking to their candidate, why don't whites do the same. Obama will only have blacks best interest at heart as president, to the detriment of whites.
