I'd rather have those vetos than what Obama plans.

You can't believe everything. With the computer/internet specialists working for Obama I take things with a grain of salt, as my grandmother used to say.

I'd go with McCain. Obama already sold out to Wall Street and the energy industry when he voted for the BushCheney energy bill and when he voted everytime to continue the war. Obama voted more times with Bush during the same time period than McCain. That tells me a lot.

Obama can "deliver" signatures to legislation enacted by the Congress which we expect to remain in Democratic control.

McCain can "deliver" vetoes and threats of vetoes. That's about it.

I like Obama on National security. Nothing ruffles feathers worse than a bully and primitive brutality. Reminds me of some I knew in highschool. Nothing ever solved, only resented and the fuel is always there.

Innocent people, women and children always suffer and die in wars. If there is a way to agree to disagree and live in peace, then why not?

Obama promises Diplomacy first. If there is aggression and threat from small groups of terrorist, we should not attack a whole country. Our constitution provides answers to this kind of attack and that is and modern "letter of Marquis” Privateers to go after the group of terrorist .

Bush’s isolationism and preemptive attacks on other countries does not make us safe. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.

Measuring the durability of McCain and Obamas economic policies is hard to do on the basis of their political campaigns. Maybe the best way to assess whether or not a candidate is competent is to pay attention to their reluctance to use populist argumentation and resort to political gimmicks.
