If Republicans Win the House, How Should Boehner Deal With Obama?

The words being whispered around Washington for the past few weeks: “Speaker Boehner.” Sometimes in shock and sometimes in glee. President Obama decided to make it public when, in his fall campaign kickoff speech, he used the Ohio Republican as a punching bag. He warned that if John Boehner and his party take back the House, it will mean a return to failed policies. Even voters upset with Obama seem to have little love for the GOP. But the odds are getting pretty strong that Boehner will indeed run the House. What do you think he should do after the new Congress is sworn in? Should he pick fights with the president? Is it time for both parties to start making deals? On which issues? Post your thoughts below on how you’d run the show if you were Speaker Boehner. [See who supports Boehner.]

Hand cuff Obama? Faux-Catholic Pelosi? Real driving opinions (Sarcasm). How about some decent suggestions like “I’d like to see congress start working together to actually get something done instead of all this red and blue bickering". Obama came into office with the same ideas he put into action. Whether you liked them or not, the guy did what he said he was going to attempt to tackle may it be popular or not. Suggesting "handcuffs" is an irresponsible opinion and anti-democracy. Tea party or not, you have to deal with the government the majority votes in. I didn't agree with Bush's plans for years and I am glad he is gone but I never suggested handcuffs for his clear failures as a president. I voted his supporters out. That’s democracy. You pay the price for democratic choice. Stop over reacting. Let your feet and vote do the talking. Otherwise don't talk because you just sound like the same regurgitated opinions of those politicians who failed to get a majority or are not in power. Face it, if you were right, your people would be in office.

Cantor stated that a “stronger U.S.-Israel relationship” remains a top priority for him and that he would be “very outspoken” if Obama "did anything to undermine those ties.

He is blind in his tendecy to reduce Palestinian to the minimun expression. The man is not fair, its main objective the welfare of Israel is overriding the welfare of USA.

The country is in jeopardy; Republicans must take both houses; then we handcuff obama from his destructive path.

I am a registered democrat, proud member of the tea party movement & truly alarmed at what is happening to my country, domestically and world wide.

I want my country back.
