The Sarah Palin Phenomenon

November 18, 2009 RSS Feed Print

I know it seems a little early, but in politics you've got to pay attention to stories when they bubble up to the top. And Sarah Palin is about to bubble, if not outright explode, back onto the national scene. Her book, Going Rogue, had been on Amazon's bestseller list even before it came out. She's now started her book tour, or is it a presidential campaign? Whatever you think of Palin, she is a remarkable political figure. From the moment I watched her walk onto the Republican convention stage and wow a skeptical crowd with rare magnetism, it was clear to me that she was going to be with us for a while. What do you think of her? Could she be president? Do you plan to read her book?Drop me a note below or at editor@usnews.com and let's chat about where the Palin phenomenon is heading.

"Then again, with leadership like her and her flock of nonthinkers we will soon be a third world country...I guess I wont have to go anywhere".

-I actually came from a country that is coincidentally more along the lines with the current POTUS than it is with Palin's message. Let me tell you... it's not so great. I'm actually thinking I should have just stayed in my third world country since under Obama that is where it's exactly going, believe me. I could have worked harder and longer back home just to give my government more than half of my earnings. So enjoy typing on your computer, in your warm home, in your safe neighborhood complaining about how Mrs. Palin is such and evil ditz. If you only knew.

Who's scared of little ol' Sarah?

A perfect test to find out the liberals in the room:

Say "Sarah Palin" and watch them melt/foam at the mouth/pee their pants in about .03 secs.

As a foreign ex-pat to the US myself with a view from another angle, I thought this was what American feminism was all about. A strong, smart, beautiful, independent, powerful woman. But a las I found it's the same old liberal BS everywhere. Feminists groups are nothing more than nasty political machines that choose the type of woman they choose to represent, apparently not conservative women. What a bunch of jokers, those feminists.

She is a national embarrassment. Every time I see her and hear that Americans are actually buying her book I want to move to Europe, Canada...maybe even a third world country. Then again, with leadership like her and her flock of nonthinkers we will soon be a third world country...I guess I wont have to go anywhere.
