Elections, Objectivity, and the Media

..should come out at some point. No matter what your personal opinion Obama has done a better job at presenting a better candidate for pres than the old man who still uses ethnic slurs to describe his former captors in Vietnam and decides to get a lady as a running mate for VP purely to catch the votes that Hillary won't be needing anymore, while shaking Bush's hand and mirroring his policies.

That was a long sentence,oh well.

It doesn't even seem like Mccain is running a campaign, he is just another stamped out Repub that they are grooming to take up where Bush left off. Only an honest idiot would vote for four more years of bush as we've barley survived the last eight!

All of our elections have been important, and I have voted in several elections. This is the only time my vote has been questioned relative to race and gender. Being an African American female, there is an assumption that I will either vote for Barack Obama, or John McCain via Sara Palin. That is ridiculous. The very same standards and requirements I expected from previous presidential candidates, I expect from these. I personally like and agree with Barack Obama's platform more than I do John McCain, and to see how his campaign has turned, and his willingness to use a woman to gain an office has vindicated my choice. Everyone knows that Obama could have "used" Clinton in the same manner, and I'm glad he chose not to do so. Not because Clinton would not have been a good choice, but if you look further down the road, you can see that it is in her better interest to not be tied to a ticket that has that has attracted such demonization. That way whether Obama wins or loses, her chances are good when she does decide to win. But, the issue to me as stated before is who is better: candidate, judgment, campaigner, and better solutions for issues facing our nation. Obama has demonstrated he is superior in each of those areas, and the fact that McCain is allegedly ahead in the polls can simply be based on the uninformed and the racist. Those who would sell this country out to keep the status quo. The United States is our home, we often sang America the Beautiful.....but there is nothing beautiful in the McCain campaign, it is ugly, deceitful, and unAmerican. This is our home, shouldn't we want the head of the house to be capable, intelligent,dignified, and inclusive?
