Pepple can't understand that President Obama says one thing and does another?? How many times does have to do these things before people understand what he is doing. Then he will take avantage of the people again and again and again.
He gives you 5 dollars to place in your right pocket and then ask you for $10.00 to spend on something else. Does anyone think that they can get ahead doing his programs????

Someone should inform our "economist" that eliminating a deduction is the same as raising a tax. It is a coward's way of enhancing revenue. In fact, raising marginal rates has the effect of LOWERING local taxes in high tax states like California and New York, where these high wage earners are most likely to reside.
And as far as entitlement reform, (translation: cuts) there is a small problem: the American people have no stomach for it. Not even Tea Partiers. Let's go back to the more normative tax structure of the Clinton era, and our deficit problem will begin to ameliorate. The elimination of middle class tax cuts is an abomination.

"Nevertheless tax increases have to be part and parcel with any long-term solution to our deficit problem."-- absolutely correct.
"But we elect presidents to do the hard stuff and unless there is a meaningfully balanced approach to long-term deficit reduction as outlined by Simpson-Bowles, our fiscal problems will continue to worsen." -- also correct, however, it is the job of Congress (specifically the Appropriations Committees) to write a working budget. All Presidential "Budgets" are more like a child's wish-list to Santa.
