SEAL Team Six is a black ops military unit that is not officially recognized. Whatever recognition they get will be in private since revealing their identities could compromise them and their future missions. And don't forget the Night Stalkers 160th Airborne special operations division pilots who choppered them in and out.
Of course Obama can only be credited with "making the tough decision" while safely ensconced in the White House. What did you expect, that Obama went on the mission himself, kicked down the door to bin laden's door and doubled tapped him in the forehead with an M14A assault rifle? If you were trying to put down Obama because he only [makes tough decisions from relative safety], then congratulations, you've just described every President in history with the exception of maybe Washington, Jackson, Grant, Teddy Roosevelt, Kennedy, and Eisenhower. This is real life, not Air Force One starring Harrison Ford. If we want an action hero for President, then we might as well start the campaign to Amend for Arnold.

Please don't pretend that you lack comprehension of the difference between what President Obama meant by "spiking the ball" and what you are trying to insinuate. By not releasing the gory photos of bin Laden's corpse with his eyeball and gray matter hanging out, Obama is adhering to a higher moral ground. Rather than gloating and displaying bin Laden's demise for all the world to see, Obama made it clear that how we treat our enemies and their dead is a reflection on our character as a nation. We got the guy we have been hunting for all these years; he committed an atrocity against us, but we will not desecrate his body in retaliation. Showing bin Laden's killshots would not only reflect poorly on America, but would provide more propaganda fodder for our enemies to sway their populace against us.
Your comparison simply fails. A football team that wins the Homecoming game gets to celebrate at the end, and there is nothing wrong with that. If the victors taunted the losing team and vandalized their school to rub it in, then there is a problem. Apples and oranges here.

Why do wing-nuts always play dumb and naive. I guess he never noticed bush and the republicans playing politics with 911. I guess he doesn't remember ten years ago when bush got up on that ship and announced mission accomplished. Well, now the mission is accomplished and Obama accomplished it. Though sour grapes actually becomes most conservatives, this crying over Obama's getting bin laden is growing nauseating. They sound like petulant little girls when things don't go the way they like. Grow up. Or buck up. Or maybe even buck off.

Writers use this cliche to mean they don't like some politician taking advantage of some issue.
In a broad view, everything is "playing politics." If I don't like you and you say something that offends me about a controversial issue or subject, I can accuse you of playing politics is a way that takes unfair advantage.
The question is whether this meaningless accusation is still able to produce any meaningful point. There are a lot better accusations that can be made. Such as describing some details that where not right.
"Spiking the ball" would be some outrageous behavior in bad taste, like having blown up the compound or personally insulting any of the others there. Or releasing gross photos that seem to show glee in how he died.
On the part of Obama, it is hard to be overdoing it because there is overwhelming support for the mission.
The objections that were reasonably valid, but a minority, are that he should not have been killed at all.

Obama's act of almost immediately announcing that Osama had been killed and that the SEALS had gathered up a small library of data was an act of shear politics, and worse, an act of shear stupidity intelligence-wise.
Had Obama not been so desperate to crow his accomplishment, he would have realized that sitting on the news for a few more hours would give the intelligence service time to disseminate some of the data, and possibly have time to act on some of it BEFORE al Queada had time to react - exactly what some of the intelligence chiefs asked him to do.
Obama and the Dems didn't "accomplish in 2 years what they couldn't do" - it was the intelligence services doing their daily jobs , and continuing to act on the intelligence gathered during the Bush years that eventually led to Osama. To state otherwise is pure political bullsh!t, and an insult to the hard work of the intelligence services.
But then, you are so impartial that you already realize this, correct?
