This is correct they did a hatchet job on Mr McConnell because they can. I would imagine its raw political power they hate the GOP I live here in N VA. This guy Deeds is getting softball treatment for example he says he wont raise taxs but says hes going to raise funds for hightways here in VA but will not say how?

Fine, the Post did one over on McDonnell. But he's also done it to himself. I'd never heard (much less cared) about this supposedly objectionable thesis until I saw McDonnell's own tv commercial. He tried to explain it away, but he was so vague it only made me interested to know more. My modest guess is that he should've just shut his mouth instead of piling on himself.
