By the time his term had ended, we'd all be embossed with China stamps.

I am a Democrat of the FDR/JFK sort--a convention delegate in my state for Hillary Clinton in 2008, and before that a civil rights and anti-Viet Nam War activist.

I do not like Wall Street thieves and their shills--like George Bush & Barack Obama.

Bailouts of speculators and Romney-like subsidies of HMO insurance companies are not useful "reform."

If Jon Huntsman has the testicular fortitude to challenge Obama in the DEMOCRATIC primaries, he will find many folks like me willing to back an alternative to this Wall Street marketing gimmick of a president.

Many higher ranking Democrats who share my view bow & scrape to Wall Street's Obama for fear of being labeled 'racists.'

Huntsman--as a kind of un-Democrat hybrid candidate--would be less hobbled by that racial card tactic of Obama-tons.

I do not take a Huntsman GOP candidacy seriously.

If he is serious & patriotic he ought to run as a Democrat.

As a fiscal conservative and social centrist from the state of Utah, I can attest that Huntsman is the only existing contender that can win in the 2012 General Election. Very likable, possibly the best manager the state of Utah has ever had, was tough but compassionate. His liberal nature in social issues often raised the eyebrows of the far right Mormons but both conservatives and liberals gave him great approval ratings. He is a progressive and innovative team player who just wants to see things get done. I am anxious to see him campaign. Mike Huckabee's bass guitar playing can't hold up to Huntsman's lead guitar skills (just ask the Foo-Fighters). Also, for those of you who don't know, if Huntsman wins, he will be putting a Motor Cross Track on the White House lawn. Cool guy with great leadership skills. And yes, all of my friends who voted Obama in the last election have said that they would vote Huntsman if he indeed ran.

There are only 30 days in April, so his resignation as ambassador to China can't be effective on April 31.

He is a Rino. Why doesn't he just run as a Dimocrat? We need someone in the White House that has some actual leadership and can make the hard decisions to cut the size and cost of government and entitlements and balance the budget.

April June and November. I'm pretty sure he's resigning on April 30.

John Huntsman, Jr., is intelligent, has been a leader in business and government, and, most recently, has gained experience internationally as our ambassador to China. In what looks to be the Republican field so far, he is a gem among lumps of coal.

We who live in Utah and remember him well as governor can attest to his even-handedness, his willingness to govern with what is best for everyone in mind, and his willingness, on occasion, to risk the wrath of those in his own party by discarding party line in favor of common sense.

And speaking of doctrine, yes, John Huntsman, Jr., is a Mormon. For those of you who haven't, as I have, lived among Mormons for 45 years while being unaffiliated, curb any anxiety. Mormons are great people--generous to a fault and, usually, genuinely nice people. My late wife was one. My wife of nine years is one.

Am I Republican? No, I'm Independent and about as Liberal as anyone in Utah.

Vote Huntsman if and when he appears on the ballot, and do so with confidence.
