Tone Deaf Mitt Romney Lacks the Common Touch
Tweet Share on Facebook February 27, 2012 Comment (2)As is the case with many politicians, Mitt Romney's greatest strength is also his biggest weakness. His experience as a corporate executive should make him a good presidential candidate in a year when the economy is bad. However, while the former liberal and former governor of Massachusetts can speak fluently about the economic big picture he is completely tone deaf when he tries to relate to the middle class families who are hurting so badly.

Rick Santorum and the GOP Only Favor Freedom From the Waist Up
Tweet Share on Facebook February 16, 2012 Comment (5)This is a big week in the clothing industry. It is Fashion Week in New York City and the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue just came out. I normally don't pay much attention to fashion but I got to thinking how former Sen. Rick Santorum's election would change the way women dress. My guess is that next year, Gisele Bundchen and the other supermodels will be on the catwalk wearing chadors (what a waste) and all the hottest new designers will be from Saudi Arabia. And Sports Illustrated? Forget about it. If Santorum becomes president, you can bet Kate Upton will be wearing more clothes if she is on the cover again. I probably should say that next year, she'll at least be wearing some clothes.

Mitt Romney's 'Very Poor' Comment Should Come as No Surprise
Tweet Share on Facebook February 3, 2012 Comment (11)When I heard Mitt Romney say, "I'm not concerned about the very poor," my first thought was that I hoped newspapers hadn't stopped the presses for this bit of so called news. Romney's disregard for the poor has as little news value as baseball guru Peter Gammons saying that the New York Mets won't win the World Series this year. Now if Romney said that he doesn't care about bankers and billionaires, that would be news.
