The author states that social security will be cut. Well, it should be! We all should remember that when social security was started by FDR only those 65 years or older could get benefits. Oh and by the way, at that time the average life span of an American was 62 years! So FDR set up a program to make sure that if people lived longer than average, they wouldn't be on the street.

Today the average life span is 78 years in America. We must IMMEDIATELY increase the social security eligibility age to 81 years of age (3 years past the average lifespan just like FDR did in the 1930s.)

Then we wouldn't have any problems funding the government or social security.

WE MUST RAISE THE AGE OF RETIREMENT FOR SOCIAL SECURITY IMMEDIATELY FOR ALL PEOPLE REGARDLESS OF WHETHER THEY ARE CURRENTLY 65, 70, or 75. THE NEW AGE IS 81 years. If you're under that age, you can't get social security. We can't afford to give you "senior welfare" for 30 years (from age 65 to 95).

When 20 year olds can't get jobs (and are poor) then we're all in trouble. The unemployment rate has been too high for too long. Expect riots soon. Things are going to get really ugly. Let's hope the government has built huge prison camps to store the angry and violent kids and 20-somethings who are unemployed and pissed off. We'll need someplace to put them and there are 100's of thousands of them!

Ignore the poor , how dare you say that after how many trillions of tax payer dollars have been spent on the " war on poverty " since the 1963 ?

Ignore the poor ? How about how the democrats ignore the black voters until they need thier vote . 40 years plus , the black vote going to the democrats hasn't worked so well for them .

Ignore the poor ? How about thinking about the generations of people the democrats have made dependant on the goverment , a failing goverment .

According to his bio, this author is the president of a consulting firm that helps Democratic candidates, labor unions and progressive issue groups win political and public affairs campaigns.

It's safe to assume this dude hates Ron Paul.

Educate yourselves about Ron Paul's positions!
