The Tea Party is making a train wreck of the GOP since it hijacked the party. Tea party credibility is zilch and the tea party is less popular than atheists.

Karl Rove is sounding the alarm that extremism of the tea party might make for juicy primaries but coddling the tea party will leave the republican nominee unelectable in a general election. He has a point. The fiction of the tea party crowd is getting foolish, as its obvious they are making up the lies as they go.

BTW Putting quotation marks around a sentence is not proof of anything but the ability to cut and paste mularky. Revisionist history will never jive with anyone but the nitwits who get bamboozled by conservative disinformation that has been fostering tea party fantasies, and consequently undermining the Republican party.

Which tax rate under Clinton ? Clinton increased taxes, more revenue came when Newt lowered them. Unlike your LIBERAL --------- opinion piece, here's proof:

"The 1993 Clinton Tax Increase Did Not Lead to the Budget Surpluses of the Late 1990s"

"Since the Clinton Administration’s own numbers reveal that the 1993 tax increase was a failure, we have to find a different reason to explain why the budget shifted to surplus in the late 1990s."

"Fortunately, there’s no need for an exhaustive investigation. The Historical Tables on OMB’s website reveal that good budget numbers were the result of genuine fiscal restraint. Total government spending increased by an average of just 2.9 percent over a four-year period in the mid-1990s. This is the reason why projections of $200 billion-plus deficits turned into the reality of big budget surpluses."

"Republicans say the credit belongs to the GOP Congress that took charge in early 1995. Democrats say it was because of Bill Clinton. But all that really matters is that the burden of federal spending grew very slowly. Not only was there spending restraint, but Congress and the White House agreed on a fairly substantial tax cut in 1997."

"To sum things up, it turns out that spending restraint and lower taxes are a recipe for good fiscal policy. This second chart (click to enlarge) modifies the first chart, showing actual deficits under this small-government approach compared to the OMB and CBO forecasts of what would have happened under Clinton’s tax-and-spend baseline."

You want good times again, make government business friendly. Repeal barry's laws and EPA.

I heard a black man just now on Fox say if Bush was in office, he would march on DC. More the pity he does not do NOW.

Bannon is right. These teabaggers are the brownshirts for conservatives to prevent any recovery, to keep unemployment high, just to try to win elections. Anyone can see through this stupid stunt, except maybe the neanderthal fox zombies.

Get people back to work and the economy picks up thus the deficits and debt would be solved by the growth. The Tea Party would rather not do anything about creating jobs, since the imbecilic debt agenda works for their corporate handlers to hold the country hostage while not addressing any real issues. Stall, balk, and whine!

Unfortunately the Tea Party have only been partisan hacks bent on inflicting economic pain for political gain.

Return tax rates to Clinton era or Reagan era to solve the deficits, raise the cap on Social Security earnings to keep SS solvent for another 75 to 100 yrs, this isn't that hard unless you intentionally don't want to solve problems.

So where are the jobs bills, John Beohner?

Also, I know that tax the wealthy, make them pay their fair share etc will come up, but here is some of the reality. There were 8240 people in the US who made over $10,000,000 (ten million). If they were taxed a full $10,000,000 each that would bring in $82,400,000,000 (eighty two billion, four hundred million). Guess what, our total debt is $14,500,000,000,000 (fourteen trillion, five hundred billion). So stealing almost their entire income would serve the same purpose as paying 57 cents on your $100 credit card bill. We have a spending problem. Taking the $10,000,000 from each of the 8240 people would not even come close to paying for Obama’s waste of money stimulus. We have to drastically cut spending. The higher tax rates on the people who have the ability to create jobs only makes liberals feel good, it serves no real purpose. We have one of the highest corporate tax rates in the industrialized world. We would be better off to charge no corporate taxes and then we would have business investment from all over the world here. But because most people have heard corporate welfare, pay their fair share etc., it would be twisted by democrats and the media and it would be political suicide, no matter how much it would actually help the economy, and how many people it would put to work. I wish democrats would operate on logic and not emotions.

I am so sick of reading absolute garbage from paid democratic propagandist. This useless president had 2 years of democratic controlled house and senate. He did nothing for the economy. He, Pelosi, and Reid passed Obamacare against the wishes of the majority of the people, did a trillion dollar waste of money stimulus that did nothing for the economy, but we did spend $823,000 of our tax money to teach African, uncircumcised men how to wash their penis after sex. That was a great use of approximately 80 family’s tax money thet they could have use for college, food a new car, etc.

Then the Tea Party comes along to try and stop government waste. Since the economic idiot in chief’s main economic achievement has to get 2,000,000 more Americans unemployed and a record number of Americans on food stamps. the only thing paid propagandist such as yourself can do is demonize groups that believe in the government controlling spending.

I’ll give you the same challenge I gave Fenn, if you will answer these questions honestly, I will know if you truly believe the crap you write:

In your business

1) Do you spend $1.40 in your business for each $1.00 of revenue you have or do you take the extreme view that you budget and control your expenses so that you actually spend less than you bring in?

2) Do you assume when you spend more than you bring in you can go out and steal from some other rich person or do you take the extreme view that you must reduce spending?

3) Do you make sure that you pay all you can in taxes and then pay more, or do you take the extreme step of hiring tax accountants to help you find all legal deductions, because you know that taxes are actually a business expense and hinder your cash flow and hinder funding your business?

4) Do you over pay for your employees medical expenses and cover every expense with no deductable (even before Obamacare) or do you take the extreme view that the employees must have some responsibility to help hold expenses down, to keep it affordable for all?

5) Do you encourage union activity, knowing that if wages and benefits get out of hand you can always go out and steal from taxpayers or do take the extreme view that you try to control wages and benefits so that the company is profitable and can survive?

Let me know what you think.

The guilty take the truth hard especially after considering your non-constructive comments. Disparage me all you want, the fact remains that you can't debate the point that Socialism is a failed experiment and that progressivism is political speak for backward progress.

david of ID 10:18AM August 18, 2011

You all owned Congress and all saw what you have done. 408,000 first time unemployed announced a few moments ago. Going up not down.

Cry me a river that we did it. Facts show you all was IN CHARGE. NOV. 2, 2010, VOTERS GAVE YOU ALL THUMBS DOWN. Your team will have to eat a lot of crow, repealing the anti-business legislation to get this economy going. obamacare must go, CBO says we can not afford. EPA placed in COLD STORAGE. Job loss is staggering FROM THAT ALONE. I doubt you have the GUTS to admit how wrong you are. More the pity for America...

Even barry admitted you don't raise taxes in recession. Watch him try to do just that. Big surprise his announcement in Sept. Maybe this time, no vote buying with PORK. A small blessing...

Bill Hedes of MO 9:02AM August 18, 2011

David of Spudistan is completely wrong on all his comments of some liberal media out to get conservatives. The simple truth is that all of the conservatives rotten policies and attacks are blowing back into their own faces. The Tea party has been GOP astrotruf all along, but folks are finally waking up to the sham. Tea party and Republican polices are damaging the economy purposely and their only goal is deny Obama any means to create jobs for Americans. This GOP anti-jobs agenda is plain to see and it hurts the country. So David should be complaining about the GOP shooting themselves in the foot, but the rest of us can complain about the GOP sabotaging the economy for politics.

That in Germany in the days before the rise of Hitler, the press attacked Jews much the same way you are attacking tea party participants? That the whole purpose and weight of the press was used against a group of people that were not even close to what they were shown as? And you see how THAT worked out, right?

The press in those days were seeking a scapegoat for the failure of the economy in Germany, much the same as in todays world you are using Tea Party... And frankly, it's just as disgusting.

Perhaps you will take a moment of your day, just a moment... and visit with ten tea party persons. Just ten, and just a few moments each. I think you will find that they are of the same mind as you in one aspect... they want the US to survive and people to be free. Is that the same as what you want?

The only difference is that they feel that the government has gotten too big and is draining the people too much. You feel the same way?

Then what is the issue with you? These people are educated, have served in the military and many have seen combat, and they were taught the constitution in school. Is that why you hate them? Do you hate them enough to demean them, attack and slander them? Would you hate them enough to execute them in chambers filled with insecticide? Because THAT is where this is going.
