Time to Turn National Focus From Debt to Jobs

It is people who stand around with their hands out because the government has taught them to be that way, that are rioting in London. If it was left up to Thomas Crickenberger we will raise a large part of the population in the US to be the same way. I have never made a lot of money, but I worked all through college, the industry I was in is now totally off shore, I am now in sales and thanks to our economic idiot in chief the last couple of years have been horrible. I did without vacations, I invested what I could, and I was able to build a decent net worth that has pulled me through the bad times. I am now in my 50’s and working on my master’s degree to be sure I am up to date and employable if needed. So it makes me want to vomit when I hear someone like Thomas Crickenberger say take from those that have more than they need (and who is to decide what another person needs). If you don’t like where you are in life man up and do something about it. It is not the government’s place to take care of you. We need a leader in this country to help business, not a government employee union organizer; we do not need to be raising a bunch of ticks waiting to get on the government dog. The government should see that we all have equal opportunity, but the only way the government can provide equal conditions is to make sure we are all miserable. And I know a lot of people are suffering right now, and I have a lot of sympathy for people who have lost their jobs, and losing their homes. I see how it could happen to anyone now. But the way to cure it is to create a business friendly environment, not by just stealing from the upper income. There are not enough of them to make a difference. It only makes the wealth envy crowd feel better.

And to answer Brannon, if our economic idiot in chief had focused on jobs in the beginning, not Obamacare that will bankrupt the country, not a waste of a trillion dollar stimulus that only created a few temporary jobs at the cost of $400,000 each, and had promoted oil drilling in the US instead of in Brazil by a George Soros owned company we might be on our way out of this mess.

I feel better having gotten that off my chest

Let's start with the Herbert Hoover reference -- it's just plain wrong. Hoover was a social engineer too -- far from the old canard about him "doing nothing", he too thought that intervention into the economy and redistribution was "a good idea". But that idea worked out about as well then as it did with Obama's stimulus. In short, it failed and he failed.

Second, if a bill was signed into law by the president a year ago saving teachers' jobs, what the hell happened to it? You say nothing about how or why Tea Party was to blame for supposedly blocking it after it had been made law -- something that is virtually impossible for Congressional Tea Partyers to do.

This is just a mindless slime job, trying to shift blame away from Obama --the only thing that progressives seem to be marginally good at.

I have never said this to someone responding to a commentator before, but this time it needs to be said, Thomas Crickenberger you are a moron. Who are you to say that the government should take from someone and give to another? Are you God to decide who deserves what? How much does someone need is not for the government or you to decide, maybe this week you have more than you need, why don’t you give it away. What if you are running a business and have payroll to make each week, are you so superior that you know how much the owner needs to get through any bad times, or are you a jealous immature twerp who is jealous of people who have achieved more than you so by God you want it taken from them? It is not your place to decide how much someone needs. Why should someone who has mortgaged their home to start a business, struggled, done without vacations to achieve a goal have their money taken and given to a jealous wealth envy person like you? I know you will be voting for Obama because people like you and paid propagandists like Fenn and Brannon are all that he appeals to.

Redistributing wealth away from those who already have more than enough and are doing nothing more with the funds they have in excess of their basic needs (i.e. hoarding and not spending) into the hands of those who would immediately turn around and spend it and thus stimulate the economy is simple reasoning.

The function of Government is to establish policies that help business create jobs, not to try to create jobs by borrowing money or taxing others so it has more money to spend. If the government raises my taxes so that it can fund programs. they have more money to spend and I have less. So the money gets spent in different places. The government is redistributing where the money is spent. Those who get the benefits of government spending will come out ahead. Those who lose business (or jobs) because I have less money to spend will lose. The proposals by Rep Schakowsky will help some and hurt others. It is just a shell game for redistributing money, but does nothing to create real growth.
