brad you make a good point.the president,at times, caves in at times when he doesn;t need to.social security should not even be part of this conversation.thers more than ample time down the road( it;s solvent for the next twenty five years ) to deal with that problem.it,s just that the republicans would like to get their grubby hands on it,so they could privatize it and futher enrich their friends on wall street.

the republican plan.shred medicare,as we know it,maintain tax cuts for people and companies who donn;t need or deserve them( a point made by warren buffet in an interview that he gave a couple of days ago) this is the con job that the pugnacious republicans are trying to foist upon the american people.
