In spite of 30 years of evidence to the contrary, you still believe that you can decrease your pay rate and increase your income?

Is the MO short for moron?

CBO with actual figures said Bush tax cuts increased governmemt revenue.

Held true in the 20's, Kennedy, Reagan, clinton/Newt terms as well. Yet bruccet continues to talk off the cuff that it doesn't. If

krugman spend way out of recession worked we would be out of recession. Oh yes, the argument we did not spend enough. Well we spent all the money in this world and printed who know hows much money. Don't think there are $$$ on the moon for us to spend.

Now bucet why are you not mentioning ex-economic adviser to Reagan anymore ??? You LOVED THROWING THAT IN farrrrrrrrrrr right people face like me. Until I looked him up. He wanted one time tax increase surtax for wealthy. What you NEVER mentioned, he wanted tax increase on poor. You see poorer payers do little to expand the economy. While rich pay more taxes because they invest. One time surtax on rich is because of such heavy debt. So brucet drops Reagan friend in his coments.

I've read the bum krugman. Does brucet ever counter my points with krugman facts and figurers ? Of course not. Go ahead brucet, do it. Win a argument once..

All you ever mention is 2 wars caused recession by Bush. Cost of wars at time did not cause Wall Street collapse in relative terms. But PROVE IT. You never, never, do.

___

How about that Pelosi and 81 other Democrats voting against uping debt ceiling ??? See may join Sarah on bus tour...

more wrong headed thinking from the far right.first off by trying to absolve george bush for any of the problems that we face today is absurd and dishonest.to pretent that cutting taxes and engaging in two wars had no baring on our current economic plight is also absurd and dishonest.

a number economic experts, including people like allen greenspan and paul krugman have made this very same point.but for some people they couldn;t see the the sun if they had a candle.

Two wars and Bush tax cuts did not cause recession

Clinotn's bad home deal cause recession when interest went up. Wall Street went down because of bad home loan paper held.

_____

“According to the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO), the Bush tax cuts actually shifted the total tax burden farther toward the rich so that in 2000-2004, total income tax paid by the top 40% of income-earners grew by 4.6% to 99.1% of the total.”

A child of 10 can see that our fiscal predicament is due to

* the Bush Tax Cuts, in the face of

* two wars that we pretended we didn't have to pay for (sacrifice for).

So, what's the solution? Don't even dream of restoring to Clinton era levels, let alone Reagan era levels. That would be too sensible.

Let the poor and middle class pay further by reducing their medicare benefits. (why should the rich care). Meanwhile, the share of National income to the wealthy has gone up 300% in 30 years. keep it goin'. (obscene)

Can't anyone on the left admitt , they spend to much money ?

Daniel C. of In. , good comment .

bruce b of Nv. , we could raise taxes back to pre JFK cuts and still not solve the problem , and we have to do more than spending cuts . The world economy is one big compitition , we have to compete , that takes businesses , big and small , incentives like lower taxes to do business here , less goverment . Expand the tax paying base , not the tax consuming base ( just for votes democrats ) , all goverment under Obama has done is expand the tax consuming base wheather from employees to food stamp recievers . Along with the employees we get more unfunded pension plans .

Did anyone fortget how all started? Does anyone out there remember the sabotage group? - (BERNENKE,...POULSEN,...GEITHNER, the taxcheater, and right hand of Poulsen at the time,O'NEAL,...JOHNSON,.. BARNEY FRANK,..and some others?

Care for memory refreshing?..Very well here in a rapid view.

Allright, everyone is talking about over-spending, cuting budget, inflation, recession, this and that…and it looks that many forgot who,and how really start this madness.

Well, the liberal-democrat factions do not wish to read it nor talk about it but Obama – even before he started his pathetic so called ‘presidency’ asked and demanded that Pres Bush started withthe balsted thing of bail-out….and that was the time the Freddie-Fannie event started to explode.

Allow me to refresh briefly the times….ready?

THE OBAMA GANG INSISTED TO BLAME THE BUSH-CHENEY ADMININSTRATION FOR EVERYTHING …BUT IT SEEMS THAT NOBODY OUT THERE DID REMEMBER THAT WAS OBAMA HIMSELF…actually… (THE PRESIDENTIAL CONSORTIOUM), THE ONES PUSHING FOR BAILOUTS AND ALL THE FACTOR S WHICH MULTIPLIED THE DEFICIT WE HAVE NOW FOUR TIMES OVER…and brings as DIRECT RESULT , A PIVOTAL FACTOR IN OUR WEAK NATIONAL SECURITY!

OBAMA WANTED TO START HIS SO CALLED ‘PRESIDENCY’….WIHT A ‘GOOD GO’…ctually they were ploting this BIG SCAM!;

Care to have some points?…..very well, walk with me;

Rick Moran

In their meeting yesterday, Barack Obama asked President Bush to allow the auto industry to tap into the $700 billion kitty passed by Congress to bail out the financial industry.

Barack Obama is trying to get swift access to the final $350 billion in the U.S. financial bailout fund.

In an extraordinary tag-teaming displaying, President George Bush yesterday asked Congress for the final money, just days before Mr Obama takes power.

By doing so Mr Bush effectively ceded the economic reins to the President-elect.

He also offered Mr Obama a few words of advice: Do what you think is right. Avoid self-pity.

And be ready for that one moment when it really hits you: Yes, you are the president.

to respond to a misinformed poster"lying about bush tax cuts"there is no way to dodge the facts.two wars along with the bush tax cuts are the primary reasons that we find ourselves in the finanical debacle that we are into day.

the only solution is ,along with spending cuts,is to increase revenue.which ,among other things, ending the tax cuts, and going back to the rates under bill clinton.to think other wise is not to face reality.
