answer the question, where is any bill pretaining to job creation.it all about their desire to foist bible thumping views off on others.

that has nothing to do with creating a job.

Sure you have read my proof how tax cuts for rich increase government revenue, because more investments leads to job creations. JFK was a believer and proven correct...

“Social issue,s”, you mean de-funding programs that can be funded in private sector, like Acorn, Planned Parenthood, NPR, and Cowboy Poet Society. My mistake, Acorn is missing in action isn’t it..

Maybe you are unaware of RAISE THE DEBT CEILING issue now going on. We agree with Senator barry, DON’T RAISE. Then, barry will change his stance, just wait a day or two.

Your tunnel vision on what we ran on is amusing. Abortion is legal and that is that. As is your view Clinton left a surplus & Sarah showed no compassion to those hurt from non-conservative AZ shooting nut...

So what? So the Republicans believe the unborn are viable human beings and thode on the left don't. If someone believes that the unborn are viable human beings then it is only rational to make this a priority over spending. No? Is this not only rational?

Now if you are on the left and don't believe the unborn are viable human beings then it makes sense to have as many abortions as possible. But this is irrational for thos who think otherwise. How sick would it be if those on the right thought the unborn were viable human beings and then it made no difference whether there were abortions or not. To them it is murder, no?

The rationale then is this: save a dollar or save a human being.

Of course, Americans disagree on this but it is not irrational in the least to want to preserve a human life if this is what a person believes the unborn is.

you seem to be the one who is clueless.if you reread my post i said not a word about the budget.to repeat, they ran on job creation.aside from passing a budget all they,ve done is postulate on social issue,s,which have nothing to do with creating jobs.

their actions on this matter,to date, have been abysmal at best.

bruce b of NV 4:12PM April 21, 2011

Neither you nor the author has a clue as to what you are talking about.

The reason behind the near shutdown of the government was the fact that the Dems didn't do their job last fall and pass a budget for this year, purposely leaving it to the Republicans so that they could be demagoged as much as possible.

The rebubs have also have their hands full trying to reverse the disastrous spending course that Obama and the Dems have been on for the last two years - the primary reason why the US once again has reached its debt limit.

The profligate spending that occurred under Bush and while the republe were in charge was bad enough, but the current crop on the Left is in a league of their own.

the author has a valid point.these yoyo,s were voted in to office on their promise that job creation was their number one issue.

so far it,s been about social issue,s,like a woman,s right of choice, doma, and planned parenthood.i donn;t see much there that going to create jobs.

it,s the same old republican clap-trap,no action on anything that might benefit the american people economically.

bruce b of NV 11:31AM April 21, 2011

The fact that Bannon's little more than a left wing political stooge and a moron, negates all validity to any and all comments from this guy. The Republicans are only doing what 70% of the voting public expects them to do. Period.

TomW of WA 10:32AM April 21, 2011

This column is so ignorant that I'm not sure it is even worth commenting on.

junior of DC 10:12AM April 21, 2011

You forget the fact that they are trying to do exactly what we voted them in to do.
