There are an incredibly huge number of stupid voters out there, especially down south. The demographics are frightening. Think of the "southern strategy" and how nearly all Republican voters down there are "Christian conservatives" which has become a euphemism for white. (not all whites vote Republican) Minorities overwhelmingly vote their pocketbook.

What's frightening is that the Republicans will have to do is disenfranchise as many minorities as possible (already in progress) More frightening is they will have to resort to a general purpose white strategy or as minority groups proliferate the Republicans risk becoming irrelevant. They will give up on the impossibility of seducing of minorities, so they make laws to try to edit them out. No number of Herman Cains or Alan Keyeses can fix that. They can even hire a dermatologist to mass produce black candidates, but they'll only accidentally create jobs for said dermatologists.

It's getting so polarized that with a "white strategy" you'd be able to tell how someone votes by looking at them and be 90 percent right. The South is nearly that way now.

They voted their conscious.

Hope you State is but first to sign law. Great movement...

Bruce, you're absolutely right! The Taliban wing of the GOP is thriving, especially in Mitch Daniels' home state. I was stunned Saturday (April 16) when party leadership in my 6th District of Indiana refused to sign a petition enabling our Senator Richard Lugar to be placed on the ballot in 2012! These refusals came during our Lincoln Day Dinner gathering!

Now, today, our legislature is close to becoming the first state to ban all funding for Planned Parenthood, has already passed a Constitutional amendment banning gay marriage, and a punitive anti-immigration bill.

Fortunately, Governor Daniels' administration has control of economic development and fiscal management, making Indiana one of few states operating well in the black with a AAA credit rating. Our able governor will decide soon whether to seek the Presidency. Perhaps he'll return to Washington to escape he right wingnuts who've wrested control of his party!

HR 3 does not prohibit a woman from getting an abortion; it only stops the government from paying for it. Brad do you think the only way anyone can do anything is for the government to supply it? Do you not wipe your butt unless the government tells you which eco friendly toilet paper to use? Is this what liberal have brought this country to, a bunch of mindless drones waiting for the all mighty Obama to tell them their next move. God help this country because liberal sure cannot!

"The 10th Amendment reserves the power to regulate marriages to the states."

When does a religious rite suddenly become a institution controlled by the state? Who gave them the rights to exercise authority of a religious endorsement? There has to more than a few founders of this nation flipping in their graves.

bruce b of NV..... are you stupid? The only thing that government does is regulate and legislate. What they have done is put in overseers (government jobs) at taxpayer expense to manage the stupidity they impose on the ones whose wealth they wish to manage. Pull your head out of your ( ! ).

Two very useless idiots .

bruce , job creation comes from the private sector , not the goverment . More goverment and higher taxes stiffle job creation , wouldn't expect you or Brad to understand that . Ya'll just like the class warfare and blind to the facts .

Hunter of WI 11:11PM April 21, 2011

Sure thought we ran on obamacare death. Job creation by smaller government and debt reduction. Continuation of all Bush tax cuts. I will mention budget, that Democrats did not do by Oct, 2010...

Sure you have read my proof how tax cuts for rich increase government revenue, because more investments leads to job creations. JFK was a believer and proven correct...

“Social issue,s”, you mean de-funding programs that can be funded in private sector, like Acorn, Planned Parenthood, NPR, and Cowboy Poet Society. My mistake, Acorn is missing in action isn’t it..

Maybe you are unaware of RAISE THE DEBT CEILING issue now going on. We agree with Senator barry, DON’T RAISE. Then, barry will change his stance, just wait a day or two.

Your tunnel vision on what we ran on is amusing. Abortion is legal and that is that. As is your view Clinton left a surplus & Sarah showed no compassion to those hurt from non-conservative AZ shooting nut...
