Fox carries both sides of the argument. I assume you have trouble disproving the conservative side. Don’t see you doing. Just wanning. Fox, in prime time on cable, is number one for what 9 years. Bill O’ for 10 straight. Can add the audience of all the other news on prime time cable, and may equal what Fox program has. Is your clue now to say watchers of Fox are dummies. If not liberal, then dummies. Classic liberal to say when can not respond with explanation. Like Heritage Foundation quotes.

barry had bad polls for near all of his agenda. His words during campaign on obacare sounded heaven sent. How quickly things changed in reality of super majority Democrat Congress bill. Began at the beginning with no full CPSAN coverage as promised. Latest being hidden away in law $$$ 105 billion. No wonder need for quick sign on bill that does little for 4 years. Incomplete document at signing. You Democrats bought the Democrat votes to pass that monstrosity. Republicans stayed 100,000 yards away. Voting HELL-O, NO.

Your party’s punishment was 1924 record turnaround in National seats Nov 2, 2010. 1948 record change in Congress. The hope of barry fell off the cliff.

I have no desire to go back and talk about Nixon. But obamacare “echo Nixon". I rarely speak of Jimmy Carter. Except to mention his housing program, that Clinton used to give us this recession.

“Democrats' health plans echo Nixon's failed GOP proposal”

Speaking of talking points . . . we just have to read your opinion and we realize we are getting talking points straight from Soros himself.

"I think you got willful ignorance pinned on the wrong party (dems)."

"I" got??? ...."Willful ignorance" to describe the typical left-sided democrat has been plastered in every mass media source (including the left-handed, NY Times, Huff Post, and Rolling Stones Magazine) since obama was elected, my uninformed friend.

Additionally, your quote, "Nixon was a devious person but he was the last Rep who had a sense of the future", confirms your patterns of thinking are as skewed and twisted as anything I have ever read.

Ho boyeeee, lowell! Best of luck in your endeavors .....you're certainly going to need it :- (

Can citizen tell me why the corporations due to a supreme court decision are allowed to give and advertise for their party or candidate amost any amount of money ,practically with out impunity but critiscize the Democrats for the use of Union money? Hasn't he noticed how many ads especially those from the Prosperty for Citizens title? also the lies they spread in those ads ,not to mention that they are still saying the public unions have not contributed to their med premiums or pensions when they have already stated they give in to the Governor on that set of circumstances, Just not giving up bargaining rights. I am in my 80s ,have not been a union member since my 20s but was in management for 50plus years and had to bargain with union Reps for contracts and I believe in their rights, Whose fault is it if workers got more than they desrved if that was the case. Management allowed it. Why ? because they didnt have backbone. Citizen like many others are misguidwd. Walker is a dictatorial Pol. and loves power.

You got it partially correct. It's about the imposition of will on the voters of Wisconsin and their attempt to continue to enforce that will. Except it's not the Governor, rather it's the nefarious, corruption, power and greed of unions and their iron clad grip on the state that has milked it to the point of bankruptcy.

Also, Bannon. You lose credibility with your reader when you try to insinuate that Walker is the same as Qadhafi. They are not. The American people may be ignorant but they are not stupid. There is NO correlation or similarities between the two and your implication only show that the real idiot is you.

Since the unions don't care about the layoffs because they want their automatic money grab of dues supplied by the employers. they are suporting the 14 cowards hiding south of the border.

Because of the despicable actions of the unions and the demo-rats, then it is on them that 1500 layoffs will be necessary to balance the current budget ending June 30, 2010. It is not about worker's rights because they are not interested in protecting jobs. It is a sad day that the lying unions and demo-rats will be exposed for their true beliefs in the form of 1500 people losing their jobs.

Shame on the greedy union bosses and the bought-and-paid-for demo-rats for this inevitable step to achieve a balanced budget and introduce sustainability. (Many thanks also to Dirty Jim Doyle, former Dem governor.)

I think you got willful ignorance pinned on the wrong party. The term common sense seems be a coverup for no sense. The new Party is a sorry excuse. Nixon was a devious person but he was the last Rep who had a sense of the future.

lowell of WA 12:52PM March 04, 2011

Personally, I have explained common sense reasoning to your type for months, not just on this forum, but others as well.

I have come to the definitive conclusion that there is ABSOLUTELY NO REASONING with today's, "hope & change", people. "Willing ignorance", is the most appropriate term given to the left as they have proven time and again their inability to see merely five minutes ahead of themselves.

Be that as it may, I frequently write to our Tea Party/Republican Party leaders to continue "full steam ahead" with extensively thought-out ideas with intuative selection and suggestion In fact, I write that they are not doing enough to insure the security of this great country from the likes of the oppressors of left-handed facism.

I realize it will take time to unshuffle obama's "stacked deck", but in the end, I am sure goodness, honesty, and integrity will prevail.

Have a nice day ....even to you.

I see the people who want the USA to return to the Gilded Age faster than it already is are out in full force today. My the FOX News and freerepublic.com crowd can't get past their talking points. It might make their heads explode.

Oh, Bob of TX, the Healthcare Plan that was made into law had plenty (too much I say) input from the Republicans as it was really their plan from Nixon's time. Obama and the Democrats made concession after concession to get the Republicans to vote for it, thereby making it weaker, but the Party of NO wouldn't vote for it.

By the way, you all are saying that you won in 2010. Funny, Obama and the Democrats won in 2008 and your party fought them all the way, but that was okay. Now that people are standing up to the Corporate Whipping Boy, you are have a fit.

What a bunch of LOSERS. The problem is you all are dragging the rest of the Country down with you. So much for caring about the future of our children and grandchildren!

When, exactly, are we going to see a conservative or libertarian opinion column in US News?

Don't you get tired of getting only the liberal side in this magazine? I certainly do.

Maybe you should have Mort Zuckerman write more columns--as he's the only guy who makes much sense at US News--and he has the money to prove that he knows what he's talking about.

One thing that these public sector union people want you to ignore--if they only give back these financial, benefit and pension concessions for one or two years--but retain collective bargaining privileges against the Taxpayer (as that's who they're negotiating against, they're negotiating against YOU), then they will merely demand these cuts be reinstated later--but with more costs added on. This has to be stopped now--as it has been at the federal level--or the US will never again be solvent and we will, over time, lose the value of the dollar and, perhaps, even our independence.

Read this week's Wall Street Journal on the decline of the dollar to see how bad it has gotten...
