He says it better than just about anyone I've read so far:

The is so much "Palin Derangement Syndrome" at play here that it is almost funny. As one blogger put it, if Palin stated that she likes apple pie, the Left would start berating her for insulting orange growers.

You guys really need to get a life.

Understanding the extreme bias and automatic assumption by the learned liberal pundits that anything said by Sarah Palin must be stupid, inflammatory, and childish; this article by Bannon is no surprise.

The term "Blood Libel" refers to libeling innocent people for a crime of great magnitude. The pundits who like to see their words in print never look at the meaning of her speech if it criticizes them, because THEY ARE GUILTY (and we all know, liberals cannot be guilty of anything because they are good--just ask them!)

The vitriol showed by Bannon and his ilk toward Sarah Palin just indicate how scared they are of a plain-spoken, intelligent, strong American woman who doesn't kowtow to NOW, Planned Parenthood, the New York Times and CBS/NBC/ABC, etc.

I think this was a very appropriate and unifying speech for Obama, and a very appropriate scolding for Palin---unfortunately, Bannon and those of his ilk don't take criticism directed at them very well.

I will do my best to practice civility. I'll try to temper my comments about Sarah Palin. She history anyway. I can use me energy on more important matters. It does really make me wonder why she always has to be in the spotlight though. I've had enough of her but deep down I know she will make another play and then another for the support of Americans. I know it's coming so I will just brace myself or turn to a different channel.

Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert should host a memorial service on the FOX News network for Sarah Palin's bruised ego, letting her know how badly all of America feels about her inarguably being the #1 biggest victim of the senseless AZ massacre. We can ignore the six innocent victims who died violent deaths, and their families who are wracked with grief, and just have a huge million man pity party for poor Sarah.

The far right can't appropriate all of the instances of jewish suffering and persecution for the last 2000 years. Especially since they have so often been on the supply-side. Let's not forget the iconic right wing figures such as Charles Coughlin, Eugenio Pacelli, and James McReynolds who helped to remind us what the right really things of the Jews.

My ancestors had to leave their belonging and much of their family following the Pogrom of Kishniev because of the stuff that Sarah Palin wants to invoke.

Maybe former Gov. Palin should think about something other than herself. She and President Obama both have a daughter who is almost the same age as Christina Taylor Green, one of the victims of Saturday's attack. Based upon their responses on Wednesday, it appears only one of them has had any sort of introspection or empathy for the sense of loss that must have resulted.

You righties are so afraid of Obama being re-elected. It hilarious!

If I was falsely accused before any actual evidence was collected of inciting people to violence and murder, "blood libel" would be a pretty accurate phrase in the more common use of the phrase. And it seems pretty tame relatively speaking relative to the charge.

Your rhetoric is just one further example of Lefties twisting things around to suits their needs.

So far, the accusations against Palin have gone from the mild: that the use of that particular phrase was ill-judged - to the racist: that she was attacking Jews - to the ludicrous: that she is directly responsible to the shooting.

Whether or not it was ill-advised to use that particular phrase or not isn't the issue here (I happen to think that she could have used something else to better effect) - it is whether or not she was justified in defending herself from these ridiculous attacks on her character in this shooting drama.

There is NO evidence to date that the shooter ever paid any attention to ANY political news - Left or Right - so if you wish to attack by innuendo and twisting of actual facts, we could just as easily attribute his actions to the DNC's use of gunsights targeting republican districts a few years ago, or Daily Kos's targeting of Gabriell last year, or Rahm's stabbing of a list of Democrat names with a knife while yelling " He's DEAD to me!"

Since that is the case -that Palin had nothing to do with the shooting - even admitted by the majority of liberal commentators in the last day or so, and coupled with the phrases use by many on the Left over the years, the use of "Blood Libel" by Palin was not erroneous as you wish it were.

Could she have done a better job with her speech? Certainly.

Is the Left way off base in their attacks on her this time?

Damned right.

This is a time for calmness and civility. The best man just won.

danos of TN 9:11PM January 13, 2011

I watch Sarah video in full. Your description does not fit except in some liberals eyes. Not all. Thank goodness there are few liberals.

Why didn't barry visit injured at Ft. Hood. Because of who the shooter was ?

Did Native American steal barry's thunder ? How about President of University ?

Blood libel has been used by Democrats and liberal Jew understand it usage by Sarah.

Liberals started the attack on Sarah giving her responisibity for this tragedy. Never expect her not to figght back.

You have little rock to built your viewpoint on...
