Decisions on Prop 8, Arizona Immigration Law May Hurt Democrats

According to a Democratic source, CBO has finished its work and will release the official preliminary score later today. But here are the basic numbers: The bill will cost $940 billion over the first 10 years and reduce the deficit by $130 billion during that period. In the second 10 years -- so, 2020 to 2029 -- it will reduce the deficit by $1.2 trillion. The legislation will cover 32 million Americans, or 95 percent of the legal population.

The other taxes are figments of right wingers imaginations. The tax on health care these fools are talking about is the fact that the entire ACA is being defined as a "tax" merely for legal reasons to get around the constitutionality issue. If social security can be compulsory due to a tax; why can't a health insurance mandate operate on the very same basis? It will provide health care, lower costs and save the entire system money. The right wingers are lying on behalf of corporate America as usual.

I hear you. People added to States Medicaid is going to cost you, tax on health care companies is going to cost you. Carbon tax, obamacare cost, etc.

Why do you think 4 year wait for obamacare ? Give time for Republicans to void it ? No. CBO and medicare study says it will raise cost then add rationing with lower care. Obama wants to be re-elected for second term. If obamacare was all that, it would be rushed to us.

Thing is these cost increases are not going to show up on Federal income tax. Like the big cig tax. After all obama promised those making less than $250,000 will not get their federal taxes raised.

When you buy food, clothes, gas, furniture, medicine, utilities, or whatever you pay the tax in form of higher cost. Cooperation and business don’t pay taxes is added to what they sell. Great thing for obama this tax is hidden. You don’t realize you are paying taxes.

Just heard money sitting on side line on Wall Street is $1.7 trillion. There is our job creation. I would have rather made government business friendly than borrow all that government debt. The passed and purposed legislation scares job creation. Keeping Bush tax cut for rich help but the unknown kills job development. Karl said 5o% of small businesses make over $250,000.

Karl Rove is saying in Governor’s races Republicans are leading in most polls for November. In theory it looks good.

Expect more insults. Let it be like water running off the back of a duck. Their insult is their crying for their sad state of their politics.

The recent overturning of California's unconstitutional prop. 8 has nothing to do with religion. If gay marriag is against your religion the answer is simple; don't marry someone of the same sex. Do Jews try to stop Christians from eating bacon? Do Hindus try to stop others from eating beef? Do Muslims try to get non-Muslim women to wear a veil in public? So why would Christians try to stop gays and lesbians from getting married? It's an individual choice.

As far as federal taxes go they've never been lower. According to one study;

"The Tax Foundation’s estimated effective federal tax rate for 2009 is noticeably lower than it was for 2005—17.7 percent rather than 20.2 percent. Although we do not have data on federal effective tax rates in 2009 by quintile, we would expect decreases in the federal effective tax rates paid by each quintile, relative to the rates reported by CBO for 2005, so that the federal effective tax rate paid by each of the lower four quintiles would still be lower than the average federal effective tax rate for all taxpayers calculated by the Tax Foundation. This is because the factors causing the lower effective rates—namely the recession and the tax cuts in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA)—affect all income quintiles. In fact, the tax provisions in ARRA reduced federal effective tax rates more for taxpayers in the bottom quintiles than for those in the top quintile."

Obama gave about $300 billion in further tax cuts with the passage of ARRA so high federal tax rates aren't your problem. Tax cuts will expire on the top 2% of income earners but their effective tax rate will still be low. Taxes aren't your real problem. Local taxes are going up due to the bad economy and less federal aid to states due to...tax cuts for the very rich. Your rights are secure too. Your problem is inequality and an economy that only really works for the very rich (top 5% of income earners). The GOP and their right wing tea party allies are directing you rage at the wrong people.
