My, first paragraph shows Brad Bannon is a smart guy. Democrats did not learn to include fixing Fannie/Freddie the Clinton helper with sub-prime in Wall Street bill. Democrats did not do like Bush and wave Jones Act to safeguard Gulf coastline and minimize ocean damages with foreign ship scanners What were you saying about John and Joe. Brad what did John and Joe do wrong ? I’ve head whole stories.

Is Congress going to get to read the illegal’s bill before voting on it ?

Republicans are willing to vote for this bill if boarder are secured first. Brad you failed to mention this has been done before.

Brad why didn’t you discuss Reagan ? Discuss Teddy K. later cutting enforcement aganist hiring illegals and cutting Boarder patrol.

“Reagan also left his mark on America’s immigration policy. The country has spent much of the last week looking back upon Reagan’s two administrations, and it’s worth looking back at what has happened to the nation's immigration policy since the historic immigration reforms Reagan signed into law in 1986. As well-intentioned and rational as they were, the 1986 immigration reforms—and what has happened since they became law—show just how damaging another illegal immigration amnesty (search) would be to our country.”

"While Reagan’s 1986 immigration reforms (search) can at least be called rational, they were a failure. Today, there are between 8 million and 11 million illegal aliens in the United States. The majority of them crossed our southern border and has found employment — illegal employment, but employment nonetheless. This is attributed to Sen. Ted Kennedy’s eventual gutting of the enforcement mechanism for Reagan's employer sanctions, and successive administrations refusing to give our Border Patrol the resources it needs to achieve its mission."

Ah the American Indian argument. So probable no people in any Country belong in that Country. Might that be far to say Kevin using your reasoning..

To the victor goes the spoils. Indians got whipped and lost their Country.

“American is a nation of immigrants ” Yes, legal.

No amnesty. It only encourages more illegal immigration. Our border with Mexico needs to be secured no matter what it takes and not the half gestures made by this President. As has been reported in multiple sources, terrorists are entering America via our pourous border. The drug cartels are also entering also. These are not people looking for a better life in America. Their intent is their own agenda against America. Yet the border issue has been ignored until Arizona's new law. A country that does not protect it's borders ceases to be a sovereign nation. Our border is as much a leak as the oil spill. Obama took an oath of office to protect our country; he is failing to do that. NO AMNESTY CONNECTED TO BORDER SECURITY !!!

even the american indians passed across the bering straight to be here but now we are a nation and have laws - since we are a" nation of laws"- we should obey existing laws or change them-illegal means not legal and we can not hold all of the people below our southern border-let them come in legally or not at all

I don't know. I just registered Republican for the heck of it. I am Independent but I like to fight whichever party is in power. I don't like dictatorships. I used to be Democrat when they were a weak party because they needed support back then, but now since Democrats run everything, I have to go to the opposite party.

Please, will everybody learn about taxes and what will be expected of illegal immigrants. During the last debate when asked about the Earned Income Tax Credit John McCain said that of course the illegals would qualify. He said not to give them that benefit would force them to the "back of the bus." If they file back taxes for three years those with a family of six could receive a check in excess of $15,000. Some individuals would also qualify. Most families would receive food stamps and assistance with housing. They could say that only those in the country for five or more years qualify for legal status, but we were told last time that the community was so talented at committing fraud it would be impossible to tell if documents were legitimate.

Congress should pass a immigration reform, legalize all who have paid taxes, and obeyed all laws regardless that they came in illegally. No one who is in america is an AMERICAN uness u are AMERICAN INDIAN, those are the ones whom are americans, and NOTHING NEW, all illegals should not be deported we all come from some parts of the world, whether its our 1-2-3 generations we all come from somewhere. American is a nation of immigrants and was built by immigrants. If congress were to pass immigratino reform , and all come out of the shadows, think of all the illegals that are illegal , how many of them will contribute to the economy, they will all buy homes, businesses, which will contribute to our economy. We have americans who are natural born here whom dont even know the history of their country ask an immigrant they will know more than an american. CONGRESS PLEASE PASS IMMIGRATION REFORM.

Didn't see the speech but I'm sure I didn't need to. Unless Oshama decides to get tough and secure the border (or even close it temporarily), start to vigorously enforce our immigration laws and get tough with employer and illegals, its all just lip service. He is pandering to the racist Mexicans and the advocates like La Raza, thinking they are stupid and will be happy if he talks about it. He is probably right on that! He also needs to jail all business owners or CEO's that hire illegals, drop the anchor baby law, stop all welfare, benefits, healthcare and education to illegals. Americans will never accept another amnesty, as we have been told twice before that if one passed, we would never have to go through anoter. As usual, the policitians LIED so we will not believe them again. All illegals and should be deported. The majority of Americans approve of the AZ law, so CIR will never pass!
