Rick Santorum Will Spell Doom for Republicans in November

Santorum is a good man, earnest, honest, but not presidential material. Guess what, Obama is a good man, earnest and honest. It is actually possible that someone who disagrees with your ideology can be a good person. We have been having this debate for over 200+ years over the role of government. Our founding fathers knew the constitution (a document founded on compromise)would be up for interpretation and therefore we have a Supreme Court. Always cracks me up when I hear a Pub saying they "know" what the constitution meant. Baloney. Would be nice to have a civil conversation without some Pub getting their panties in a knot and having to call somebody who disagrees with them a traitor, an idiot, dishonest, etc. It's all over-blown hype and if persuasion is their objective, they will not accomplish it with their vile commentary. Try tact and persuasion and see if that works 'cause insults don't. You need to convince us moderates and independents you are right, otherwise you will never win another election.

Santorum Is A Good, Honest and Intelligent Man...

but I agree - he's not electable.

Honesty, character and morality have become passe' - witness the egocentric, glib, facile, politically correct, huckster currently in residence in the White House.

Doubtlessly, the Obamatrons will again stagger and lurch to the polls - voting to expand their La La Land dogma throughout all of America.

Hey, it's what vacuous, smug, smirky zombies do - Just look at Nancy Pelosi.

I get a kick out of those "lifetime Republicans" who say they will now vote for Obama! What a BS'er...

Thank you for the keyboard laugh!!

Hello Pianocomposer of Il:

Have you forgotten so soon the most beautiful music of the Republic, a world view and historical perspective embracing non interference by the Government regarding the people? Once again the spirit of America is coming to life in the Ron Paul 'movement'.

Better a wise statesman who has witnessed the bloody destruction of modern warfare (Ron Paul) than any compromised power broker far from the fields of destruction and riding the defense industry gravey train (Barack Obama, Newt Gingrich, Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum).

Or are you one of those who say that Dr. Paul's non aggression principle in diplomacy removes him as a viable option? Have we all been so dazzled by our high tech weapons that we can't put them away at least until someone starts trouble with us? And are you aware that the Congress rather than the President is legally charged with the responsibility of deciding war and peace?

If you believe the created urban myth that this very wise and uncorrupted patriot from Texas named Ron Paul isn't electable, there may be a large dish of humble pie waiting for you at the end. An idea who's time has come can not be stopped by any army of beaurocrats fighting for their self interests.

Calling all patriots - get up, stand up.

Santorum likes to talk about Christianity & why Obama is a bad Christian. Most voters could care less... Americans are practical. Give them a smart president who cares & can help make things better & they will vote for him or her. The GOP lost the presidency when all the really great candidates either lost (Huntsman) or decided not to run (Pawlenty). The remaining two (Romney & Santorum) are flawed candidates. In talking to my moderate Republican friends, the conventional wisdom is that Obama will get another four years because he doesn't suck as much as the competition.

Survey 100 Democratic election strategists and ask them who they would rather run against, Romney and Santorum. Ricky the Righty is not only himself unelectable, he will cause the Republicans to lose the House and fail to take back the Senate. As a staunch liberal and progressive, all I can say is, "Go Rick."

Boris, the problem is that conservatives don't trust Romney, even on fiscal policy. Why do you think the party has had strong flirtations with pretty much every one else in the race? And Romney has not been able to crush those flirtations without using his money to run negative ads.

And at this point, Romney's negatives have gotten so bad that he may not have a better shot than anyone else. Swing voters may not be happy with Obama, but they don't like Romney much either.

Santorum will go down as the President that saved America.

Nobody had the guts to sign off on this amateurish piece of pap?

"...the GOP is going through Ricksanity."

You mean "Rickarma", don't you? What goes around, comes around. In this case, the GOP let go a phart and it came around and bit it in the a**.
