The Six Words That Will Clinch Mitt Romney the GOP Nomination

THE SIX WORDS I WANT TO HEAR...

President Paul uses the veto pen.

That's the primary way a just and limited federal gov't would be brought about, via the presidential veto pen.

With the constant -- and exercised -- threat of a presidential veto, Congress would soon be limited to constitutionally-sound bills that secure close to a 2/3rds majority in advance.

And with less-contentious stuff coming out of Congress, skipping through on a narrow vote along party lines, there would be less agitation for subsequent judicial activism on the part of lefty/right federal and Supreme Court judges.

To David of MI, and others:

I used to think that USN&WR should get a whole new batch of opinion bloggers. Upon further thought though, I congratulate Mort Zuckerman and USN&WR for assembling in one place such a team of blatant lefty/right shills.

It's an over-the-top form of aversion therapy.

The longer opinion-team USN&WR shill for either Romney or Obama the sicker more-reasonable people will become of the two company-store choices. And begin to see Paul as the middle ground for 2012. Not in terms of being a 'compromise' between Romney and Obama, but by being the means to tell war-is-peace and spend junkies on both republican and democrat sides to take a long walk off a short pier while the rest of us move on to something much better via a Paul presidency.

"While other candidates are going up and down like little fishing boats in a stormy sea, Governor Romney is the cruise liner set to come into port as the winner of the GOP presidential nomination. "

Are you blind? Ron Paul has NOT been going up and down. He has steadily increased. Your article is a blatant lie, misleading, misinformed and has nothing but malcontent written all over it.

You sir/madam should be banned from ever writing another article ANYWHERE.

If denial of the obvious is a character defect then Boris I have bad news for you... you are beyond repair.

Perhaps you should call a doctor (I know of a very very popular one in Iowa).

What twit, or combination of USN&WR twits, wrote this snotty column???

The six words that you suggest Mitt Romney use to cinch his nomination as the GOP candidate are the creed of the Tea Party!

Small Government ~ Low Taxes ~~ National Security!

That's the Tea Party platform, folks.....

If your columnists could remove their lips from the behind of BHO long enough, they might recognize the impact of the Tea Party on conservative and GOP politics.....

Chris Christie/Condi Rice would be a winning ticket for the GOP. Nab Paul Ryan for Secretary of the Treasury and you have an effective executive branch.

Had to check the polls after reading this article:

“Both Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich essentially tie President Barack Obama in registered voters' preferences for the 2012 general election. Most voters supporting Obama say they are voting for him. Most voters supporting Romney or Gingrich say they are voting against Obama.”

Mitt Romney

paul the foreign policy weird-o

the republicans are acting like crabs, all of them dragging the winning player back into the bucket. meanwhile, the commie target of all this, the won-the zero, our vacationer in chief, bammie, waits...with a billion in foreign funding for the election.

The two other posters or "im"posters haven't a clue. Boris Epshteyn is spot on in his assessment of Romney.

It's easy for Ron Paul to "talk" small government, lower taxes, isolationism, militant boarders, etc. It's much more difficulty, if not imposslbe to turn those ideas into reality. Those who like Ron Paul fail to comprehend that last salient point.

David of ID 12:49PM December 20, 2011

as for who will,in the end, secure the nomination at this point all the signs point to mitt romney.cain and bachmann have pretty much been written off as loony tunes.santorum who is a religious zealot who lost his last bid for public office by 16 points. ron paul is a decent guy but lacks broad support.

then theres gingrich, who after his surge in the polls.when people scratch the surface find a flawed candidate who,s past actions and present comments repulse open minded people.newts campaign is taking on water faster than the titanic

so by default it looks like mitt.

I do not agree with you, Boris.

Dr. Ron Paul will win both, the Iowa and New Hampshire Caucuses. He will not only win the Republican nomination, he will be elected to the Presidency of the United States in 2012.

Mitt Romney is much too wishy-washy and, as I grandly suspect, he is a RINO. Newt Gingrich has too much of a tainted past, plus he's a mean and deceptive bas---d! Mostly though, they both appear to side-step the true wants and needs of the American people, a disconnect of sorts which can be just as harmful as the current Obama Administration.

Vote Dr. Ron Paul, the most reasonable choice!
