What a great read, thank. As for Weiner. Well, his name is more than a name...

I agree that debate in politics is healthy and good, but that's if the people representing you are good candidates and not greedy and corrupt. Personally, I thought that Anthony Weiner's rant was refreshing. Someone in politics SHOULD get angry that this is happening! Sure, his finger wagging was at Republicans when it should have also been at his own party, but it's nice to see some emotion, considering Obama doesn't get nearly as pissed off about these things as he should.

I think this clip sums it up nicely.

Rep. Weiner was angry because Republicans didn't care enough about the heroes of 9/11 who risked their lives to save others to consider a tax to help pay for these brave souls' medical care. It doesn't matter if any of those people are U.S. citizens or not, they should get respect like any other hero. I'm a little angry too.

As a side note, Democrats did not force the healthcare bill "down the public's throat". The majority of Americans supported the bill. The only problem was that the Republicans could scream loud enough to make it seem otherwise.

This doesn't mention that Republicans wanted to insert measures to make sure that illegal immigrant first responders didn't get health benefits.

Get that. Republicans want to deny benefits to illegal immigrants who risked life and limb to save legal immigrants. I understand complaints about illegal immigration. It's an issue that demands attention, but if there was one class of illegal immigrants who should get a pass, don't you think it was those who tried to save lives on 9/11?

"You sacrificed your health to save my life. Thanks, now get out and go die."

Republicans vote against funding for First Responders. Partisan shill blames the Democrats. Another day in cuckoo land.

This is why I'm sick of congress. The Republicans voted no and you blame Congressman Wiener and the Democrats? Interesting....They didn't tie irelevant amendments to the bill like Republicans wanted to with a simple majority vote. If you believe the bill is right you vote yes. If you beleive it's wrong you vote no. Apparently, Republicans believed it was wrong or that "procedure" was more important. So......was Peter King wrong for voting yes? Were all but 12 Republicans right for voting no? What amendments did they want to tie to this bill? I'd like to see them justify their vote to the 911 first -responders.

Talking over and ranting at another guest has become the cultural norm. However, when it is obvious that, in this case, the Dems don't give a hoot what anyone says -- why not give them a good tongue lashing on behalf of the majority of Americans when one has a chance. At least at this lever, violence does not draw blood !

We watch the antics on T.V.

Of Congress playing useless games.

The Dems and Repubs vie to be

Winning goofs in the halls of shames.

We need to borrow Roman fun.

Congress like the Coliseum

Needs lions to check lost or won

Where we have sent dumbest of dumb.

Non partisan are hungry cats,

Not too picky on what they prey,

Ridding us of show off Hill brats.

Term limits are the better way.

Into Congress let lions go.

Then we'll watch a really good show.

"So, the Republicans can't get everything they want so screw these sick Americans."

Bush vetoed a spending bill for the war. Not because he wanted to but he swore he would if it contained a lot of PORK. Bill was adjusted and passed.

Same can happen with this bill. Can be changed and passed. This may surprise you but that is how it is done at times. By both sides.

There is no "screw these sick Americans."

Tone it down Wiener!! We get it, you are proud of being a flamer, but you don't to shove it down our throats. Save that action for the bathhouses where you and the rest of your liberal buddies are rumored to hang out.
