let's be honest here , let's say the Republicans have the option to push thru a financial package, of their choosing I can sit back and relax, and watch the same if notWorse, bickering and Moaning even more so! This situation has a lot of common folk whoquite honestly are always being taken for Sheep to be led, really very untrusting of Government.

I definetly don't trust no Politician, for they are MASTER LIARS,Satan's Attorneys. Atleast PresidentObamacomes across Earnest, and people need to realize it has been exactly the pace he mentioned. And to his credit,he has sought to achieve and not just sit back, and watch as so many of our 'PONTIFICATORS"aka FormerPresidents-he is clearly endevouring, at least for all the Right Reasons. Republicans seem very built up on mis-direction, Racially incompetent(shallow move/w/ new RNC chair and non -relevance to the circumstances seriously affectingAll.

Republicans, reconsider your direction-for it might as well be KKK with a black face-your philosophies are arcane and ancient. I can see your slip, under your dress, GOP. And youre too old for thongs.

Mr. Barone: You were serious when you said you would never write about Obama again in the same way after you met him. I am devastated that we've lost you. You were one of the good ones. Maybe when you realize you've been had and used for his purposes, you'll come back to us. Just maybe :(

Don't you know that by bi-partisanship he means we conservatives have to give up our principles and follow him into socialist heaven. Sad. Sad indeed. Wake up, Mr. Barone. Please wake up!

No one was complaining 2 years ago. "Everyone can own a home, even if you can't afford it" That was the lefty mantra with the right to scared to fight!! So what do we do now; Give people money who don't contribute. "if we don't learn from history we are doomed to repeat it"

Chris of NY 12:37PM January 30, 2009

".. he did at least listen."

Mr. Barone, all we can know is that he appeared to listen. Coming in to discussions having already made up your mind and then pretending to listen respectfully requires no effort - particularly for someone with Obama's talent for deceit. It is entirely consistent with the style over substance schtick that has become Obama's trademark. I'm surprised at your willingness to be deceived. But then, there's lot of it going around.

I agree with your point on re-electing these people, but the problem with your description of the two parties is simple and fails to look at history, economics, and government responsibilities.

The Congress are the folks that MAKE the laws the President enforces them. The political arena has been nothing but nasty and full of slogans and buzz words since Bush the elder said "no new taxes" And we Americans, like a bunch of sheep just follow along the path. This country was founded and built on self reliance, hard work, and personal responsibility. All three are out the window, blame anyone, ask the government for help, and if it all fails get on TV and tell your sob story.

My plan is to get 51% of Americans to commit to voting for anyone not in office for the next election cycles. After six years everyone will be new to DC. If the new set starts down the same path just repeat the process.

Folks, don't forget Michael told us that his writings will be influenced for weeks, months, years following his supper with The One. Now we know what he meant.

Obama's trips to Capital Hill were nothing but patronizing stage craft. The contraceptive thing was an incredibly tiny, insignficant part of the Bill. The Dems lose nothing on that one. They can just slip it it into another bill.

This package is a nightmare. Clearly Obama needs to look at spending.. The spending will do nothing for the people who have lost over half their retirement. Where is the help for the People of America. In addition, why should we spend, spend when are deficit is so large. Does this man have any common sense or is he just trying to look good with his leadership skills? God please help us!
