Once Congress is finished prosecuting Bush & Co. for war crimes, they'll take on this case. Heinous act of cruelty to animals on the part of this pilot. Congress won't rest until this villain is in jail where he belongs.

Well, the PILOT at the time of the take off and 'til just after the massive bird strike that apparently had got the big time attention of Captain (the secondary pilot at the time who said his first instinct as a bunch of birds hit the windshield of the flight deck..was to "duck" ironic..) was the un-named First Officer.. THE ENTIRE CREW ARE HEROES.THE PILOTS LANDED...THE FAs EVACUATED THE PAX..THE RESCUERS RESCUED.. CREDIT ALL..

There were many heros linked with the US Air 1549 incident.

The Pilot was HERO Number One and the rest of his 4 member crew.I wish I could fly with this "A ONE" Team. BIG KUDOs.

My information is that the flock of geese was so big that it showed up on radar. Canada geese have become a nuisance as they have quit migrating and take up residence in moderate climates like New York.

A fitting tribute would be an assembly of the pilots, crew and passengers with all their families gathered in front of the retrieved airplane with that MISSION ACCOMPLISHED banner draped over it and the captain award the president's medal.

I read yesterday that your meeting with PE Obama had changed the way you will report/comment from now on. Did he impress you positively? I trust your judgment and would like to get your thoughts on your impression of him, not what was said at the meeting. Can you expand on what you meant?

A caller to my favorite sports radio show said this morning that the NFL commissioner should see to it that the pilot of flight 1549 is invited to be the ceremonial coin-tosser at the Super Bowl this year. And that the crew and copilot should be in the background. It'd be great for them to get the standing ovation they deserve, and America would love giving it to them.

The radio host went on to say this is the first time in a while the USAirways gave out free ice (rim shot).
