I agree that mainstream media was for Obama and mainstream was not objective in this last election. You will find that a lot of people agree with me. Mainstream media desgusted me bigtime in this last election.

Matt Lowery is one in particular. He got a little defensive to me. The hard questions were not asked of Obama. I still do not trust this man at all. I believe mainstream media may see this as time goes on and they will have to live with their choice of a candidate. You definetly picked the wrong man. We are headed for big trouble.

I am the mother of a 10 yr old son with Ds, I was glad to have Ds awareness at the national level. Many reporters wrote very fair and accurate articles about individuals with Ds and their families. I agree with Mr. Barone's comments, however, because I was amazed at the hypocrisy of the media when they suddenly became concerned about Palin's "Down syndrome baby' and who would be taking care of her child while she worked. Excuse me? Did they ask that of ANY other candidate? We have a sitting Congresswoman who had a son born with Ds while she was in office, and she is doing very well. What is wrong with Todd Palin being a caregiver for his son? I also read comments about how wrong it was for her to have a baby in her 40's. Since I was 44 when I had my son, I found that remark particularly distasteful.

There was a lot of hysteria about Gov Palin 'forcing' other women to have babies since she had her child w/Ds, which made me sad, because already, over 90% of babies who have a prenatal diagnosis of Ds are aborted. Instead of being seen as a loving mother who made a natural decision, she was depicted as some as some sort of freak for continuing the pregnancy once she had the diagnosis. What has happened to us that we are so callous when it comes to human life? I see the statistic of 90% abortions for babies with Ds, and I look at my son, and I can't understand why people are so afraid of having a child like him? He is a great kid. I can't understand why people who pride themselves on being tolerant and celebrate diversity in other forms are so quick to condemn those with disabilities to death?

It isn't just the media. There are comments on many of these blogs that are just hateful.

Why? What have people like my son ever done to any of you that you should hate them so?

What makes it worse is that you cover it up by trying to say that you are concerned for the child, and that you believe it is more loving to terminate a pregnancy rather than condemn the child to a miserable life. Well, you obviously haven't met my son. He enjoys his life and he, like Trig Palin, will bring joy to everyone who takes the time to really 'see' him.

Sarah Palin has her priorities in order. Those of you who complain about her being ignorant are just swallowing what the media fed you. Or what you wanted to believe because you were threatened by a strong pro life woman. I believe that if she had not been pro life, if she had not been a Conservative, she would have been a liberal favorite. As it was, the 'choice' crowd proved once again, that only one 'choice' really matters to them.

Maybe the media didn't hate her for not aborting her child, but every woman over 40 I know, 100% of them....I will say that again, 100% of them brought up the fact that she had the baby in a hateful many within the first few comments when asked why they hated her so.

Maybe the media did not feel that way, but MANY women hated her and felt free to say so for having the baby.

I guess they did not agree with her CHOICE
