Nice eulogy on Crichton... He was on target regarding the morphing of the environmental movement into the religion of Environmentalism.

I have been writing columns, letters and op/ed pieces about, or referring to, Environmentalism as a religion since the mid ‘90’s... It’s so obvious that Environmentalism is just a retread of paganism - Neo-Paganism if you will.

The creed of the Environmentalist is simple - Even school kids can remember it - And believe me, they are taught it every day in one form or another.

1. All form of human endeavor are evil.

2. The only permissible interactions between humans and nature are; conservation, preservation, restoration and veneration.

Rachel Carson is their Patron Saint and Al Gore the self anointed High Priest. Your soul has become your “carbon footprint”. Sin is any perceived insult to the ecosystem, and Carbon Credits the new indulgences.

This new dogmatic and intolerant religion controls the media, the educational establishment, politicians, governmental bureaucracy and the courts. Talk about a “state religion” - Well, it’s here, in spades.

I understand that Obama is considering RFK Jr. as his new eco-czar. That ought to put the intolerant zealots totally in control... I wonder if ALGORE would consider that job? Nah, he’s more the High Priest type.

Well, now the chanting Obamatrons can all fall in line behind the fluttering green banners and lead us backward to the caves - The new/old Eden.
