YOU COULD ALMOST FEEL SORRY MCCAIN, BUT THEN YOU REMEMBER THE LIES, AND THE DIVISION HE'S CAUSED AND HE SHOULD BE CONCERNED ABOUT HIS LEGACY. In January 2001, Bill Clinton pardoned Weather Underground Organization members Susan Rosenberg and Linda Evans, but he didn’t exactly advertise it. During the Vietnam War, while John McCain endured a North Vietnamese prison, a bearded “Slick Willie” also participated in "teach-ins," in the Soviet Union. He didn’t shout that from the rooftops either.
While we played by the rules, WUO member William Ayers and others tinkered with explosives. It was a good career move (for those who didn't accidentally blow themselves up): lucrative teaching positions, generous grants, and political pardons to name but a few perks followed the intact terrorists. When a candidate like Sarah Palin gets slammed for her values, and an unrepentant Bill Ayers gets lionized for acts of violence, it makes me know how far we've slid as a nation. In 1995, Bill Clinton would declare himself the “education president,” yet never talks about what he did in that capacity. Trent Lot ultimately resigned his position because of a casual and humorous compliment at a private birthday party for a one hundred year old man. Not one thing about race was mentioned or even intended; many many democrats agreed!! And Senator Obama does not need to account for chosen political alliances with an admitted domestic terrorist that occurred within the past 36 months? What is wrong with this picture? Does the American electorate buy all of this? Why aren't Jesse Jackson and Julian Bond asking these questions. They've never done this kind of stuff. Hillary or Bill Clinton wouldn't enter a room containing William Ayers. It's not rocket science if you are wanting to keep your job! Why does Obama get a pass? Maybe these people are going to wait until he gets into office before they think about it. Brothers and sisters this is the American presidency not the student council!

do not understand. we are all familiar with TIME & NEWSWEEK & NY TIMES & USA TODAY ! are they flown to Alaska ? we need to read to know what is going on & thoughts of others...there are many talented writers out there. am sure the Pres. & VP read many publications every day !...they have/need to , very important !..G W Bush said he doesn't ..he wants his staff to tell hm the news..but Pres. Kennedy was a fast, voracious reader.

Let's say that Palin is an idiot, Limbaugh is an idiot, and Hannity is an idiot. Does that mean that Barak Obama doesn't have to answer honest questions from the American people about his ties with an unrepentant former domestic terrorist? or aradical church leader he called his mentor? How about this for a response: Yes, Bill Ayers is a friend. I knew he about his past, but he was fighting for the youth of Chicaago when we worked together. Mr. Ayers and other board members have accomplished great things for the youth of Chicago. Yes, I knew Jerimiah Wright's radical ideas and messags. He is my friend and my pastor. He cares aboat the black community and all communities, as do I. I learned a lot from him and I plan to use what I have learned from Wright and others to help all groups rich or poor black or white when I get to the White House. What would be wrong with standing by your friends? Instead Senator Obama looks as though he is hiding something.

I heard on a talk show that Obama's mentor and a person that he regarded as a father role was an individual who was an active member in the Communist Party. This inidividual died in 1987. Obama mentioned him as Frank in his book, no last name. According to the guest on the show, a newspaper reporter wrote about Obama's relationship with this person and how it shaped Obama, but failed to disclose that he was a member of the Communist Party in his article. I believe the individual's name was something like Frank Washington Davis, but was in traffic and am not certain of his name. Someone needs to investigate this and determine if it's true, especially considering Obama's relationship with Rev. Wright, Mr. Ayer, and his involment in the Million Man March. Thank You
