If Obama loses, it will be blamed on the Democrats throwing Hillary under the bus in such a way that she was ineligible for the VP slot. This may or may be true, but it WILL be the perception. Hillary is relatively blameless in this. They told her to go away. And then Palin shows up and everything is different.

Win or lose in 2008, Palin is THE Republican candidate in 2012. McCain will be to old to run for a second term -- if he survives the first. But if Hillary has to wait until 2016, she may have to run against President Palin. Sarah would have 4 years of presidential experience at that point vs. zip for Hillary.

For many reasons, 2012 is Hillary's last chance. Palin is actually Hillary's best matchup vs the Republicans, but only in 2012. Hillary gets that chance only of Obama loses. Besides, an Obama loss in 2008 virtually guarantees a female president in 2012. How can the feminists resist?

She will run for 2012, because she is Hillary Clinton! Hillary 2012!!

Hard to contemplate after tonight. But it's a long election, and this night will be forgotten, save the historybooks. Maybe he never had a chance because after all is said and done, whites say they might vote for him, but can't. The real thing here is can Obama transcend the race divide, and can he transcend the traitor/terrorist/Muslim 5th column label the radical right will begin to promote on the fringe and will bleed into the popular media and the anti-christ/Obama mantra that evangelicals will hear a lot about. Or maybe Obama will be right, and the talking heads will wear themselves out, and like in the Matrix, we will wake up to reality, and realize that liberal and conservative don't exist-they were this mindset created to brainwash people.

Wimpy/limp handshake Obama? Antichrist Obama? Traitor Obama?

No. Arnold the Governator it seems is going to skip the GOP convention-said he supports Mccain but would work with Obama.

It really is too bad that the Bush people have latched themselves onto the Mccain team-he had to make a deal with the devil, if you ask me. Their primary ended mighty quickly, if you ask me.

Obama morphed himself into the Obamanator tonight, and guess who is John McConnor?

I disagree with the person who wrote that Barone never says anything good about Hillary. I have read/seen many of his comments extolling Hillary's virtues. I just sat through Obama's boring speech. Nothing new. No substance. The Republican attack machine about to roll out Ayers, Rezko, Kenya, Indonesia, birth certificate, gay choir master, missing records, Infant Born Alive....Obama will lose in November because his paper-thin record is about to be shredded like so much confetti. And Hillary the phoenix will rise from the ashes in 2012 with four more years in the Senate to hone her track record.

Thank God that dilusional dream will never come to pass. Lay off the meds, man. They don't allow you to think clearly.

I felt like Hillary gave Obama his marching orders for the fall campaign; I also am convinced that he won't take them.

well, since last year, I have been asking bambi's SUPPORTERS to tell ME why they would vote for him, other than his race and the historic meaning behind all of it. Guess what? THEY cannot give any sort of reasoning, either. They only say he stands for "hope and change". Well, so did Hillary... and, so did Bill.

Rather than give me any affirmative information regarding Obama, they would go on the attack regarding Hillary AND Bill. So, what is it you wanted to hear from Hillary? Obama has NOT been properly vetted. Nobody really knows Obama- I wonder how much Obama knows Obama anymore. He seems to stand for nothing-- at least not for very long. He changes his mind about seeming everything in such an easy way, It's very difficult to come up with ONE thing positive about him

Again, HOW was Hillary to come up with anything positive to say? Obama has not come up with anything positive about himself. He is the most secretive candidate in many decades. Hell, he puts Richard Nison to shame with all of the secrecy!

I suppose Hilary could have brought up all of the negative things Obama did in his very short time in the Senate. She could have noted that as a "community organiser", he took FROM THE LITTLE PEOPLE in order to give to Tony Rezko. She could have brought up all of his "present" votes or his "mistake" votes.

But, Hillary took the high road.. and YOU and the Bozos are still NOT happy- YOU have again kicked her to the curb. Geezz, did she need to sacrifice a virgin and lay the corpse at his feet? --would that have made you and the Bozo's happy???

Say what you want Bill is the BEST and Hill is the second best. President Obama is blessed to have them on his team! All speeches were great and memorable and effective. I am a BLACK American from Michelle and Baracks era (same age) and if you are not supporting Barack Obama you are as ignorant as the Republicans who support a man who does know the number of homes he owns, that is as elitist as they come. NO DIRESPECT but I am one of the millions of Americans caught holding an adjustable rate mortgage and the only RECONCILIATION is BANKRUPTCY or BAD CREDIT or HOMELESSNESS or DEPRESSION or YOU NAME IT it's happening. All of you Pundits, Republicans, Real Elitist and Clueless, what Bill and Hill are doing, have done and will continue is to be applauded the represent folks just as myself. I am single, Intelligent, Independent, Black, Beautiful and I love my country.
