""Dumbocrats" would be more appropriate! But "Dim-" is apropos as well."

Off in Freeperland, maybe. And if you go onto Daily Kos you'll find "Repugs", "Rethuglicans" and similar misspellings.

Mr. Barone has said that political parties should be referred to by the names that they want to be referred to, this in reference to George W. Bush's referring to the opposition as the "Democrat" party--a mildly derogatory term, at least inasmuch as nobody but partisan Republicans uses it regularly.

But the Labor/Labour spelling is simply a function of British vs. American English.

On an unrelated spelling related note, I have recently seen a few spellings of "potato" with an "e" on the end in professional publications. Dan Quayle's revenge?

Sorry but can you Americans please understand that the party in Government here in the UK is called Labour and not Labor?

Would you like it if we continually referred to the Ripublicans or the Dimocrats?!

Well you are totally overlooking the working poor, earning under 20K who aren't eligible for any benefits, even when we're sick, and are getting taxed and fined into oblivion.

I'm 43, UK born and I'm taxed to death with no pension and no help.

I'll vote for anyone who will listen.

Go Boris!
