One of the most wondrous events of recent history was the nonviolent revolution of the Estonian people against the Soviet Union. Now James Tusty has brought his full-length documentary The Singing Revolution to theatrical release. I will have more to say about this wonderful film, but I wanted to give Washington-area readers a heads-up, since it's showing there.

I was in Estonia last December. I wish I had seen this film before I went; it would have immeasurably enhanced an already wonderful experience.
