No Comeback for Hillary

I work in Austin and follow politics closely. At this point Obama has probably twice as many ads on tv here than does Clinton. Also, my wife and I both early voted yesterday and I was suprised to not see any presidential signs at the polling place. There were tons for local candidates, but none for Clinton or Obama.

Thank you Martin Scott of OH and Kelly Pierce of CA. So eloquent and to the point.

Hillary the most accomplished woman in USA? Somehow I don't remember anybody in general saying that. Everybody says some politician couldn't name Obama's accomplishment (Obama can--if you guys really want to know why don't you ask him), but do people in general remember what Hillary accomplished? As First Lady? As Governor's Wife? As Senator? Gee, not anything memorable. Oh wait there is ONE memorable thing: Bill Clinton gave his wife as a first task the Health Care Reform package. Remember that one? She did sooooooooo poorly Bill never gave her another task. Oh yeah we remember that one.

I think it’s a shame that people are so mesmerized and hypmatized by Obama’s rhetoric that they are willing to vote for a “Johnny Come Lately” Jr. Senator over an experienced Senator for President when this country is in such a mess. We literally have given this White House back to the Republicans in 2009, because John McCain’s and the media’s attacks are going to chew Obama up and spit him out.

If Obama becomes the Democratic Nominee, I’m staying home and not voting, I don’t trust this man to make good on his promises, I suggest that all true Hillary Supporters stay home as well if you truly don’t trust Obama to be your President, I’m not going to unite behind an experienced candidate in whom I don’t believe and trust to do a good job in the White House starting Day One of his Presidency.

I see this is still a “Man’s World” when it comes to Women trying to break that glass ceiling of becoming President. What I’m looking for in the general election is Obama is the Democratic Nominee most of the White Men switching back to the Republican Nominee John McCain, causing the election to be won again by the Conservative Party, because there are still people out there who also does not want an African American President as well, I believe that a lot of Republican’s and Independent’s were just voting for Obama to get rid of Hillary, therefore, giving John McCain a better opportunity to win the Presidency.

It’s seems like to me Obama’s Fad Movement Supporters fail for Karl Rove’s “Okey Doke” again. This was a brilliant strategy planned by the Republican Machine, and the Republican biased Cable Media, the Cable Media played a major role in helping to get Obama nominated by pumping him up and not fairly challenging and scrutinizing him on the issues from the start, right now, Obama can do no wrong, until he get’s the nomination; and then this same Republican Cable Media is going to let the hammer down on Obama and pounce him, causing him and his campaign to be politically destroyed. I’m not going to help Obama get out of this pickle by voting him; So “Let The Chips Fall Where They May.”

I truly hope Hillary’s Supporters follow my lead and stay home and not vote at all, or vote Idependent, let Obama’s Fad Movement Supporter’s get what they deserve and ask for, another four years of Republican Party Rule. So to repeat, I refuse to take part in uniting the Democratic Party by supporting an inexperienced Presidential Candidate, who really wouldn't know what to do on day one of his Presidency, he really don't have a clue on what he's doing. I have no faith and trust in Obama, the "Johnny Come Lately" 3year term Inspirational Motivational speaker Jr. Senator to get things done during his four year term in the Oval Office.

"Good-bye Mrs. Calabash, wherever you are," said Jimmy Durante closing his show.

I say, "Good-bye Mrs. Clinton, pack your bags, close your show, your trip is over! Hawaii wishes you ALOHA 'OE.

Hillary was fired from her position in the committee that was investigating Nixon because of repeated unethical conduct. After seeing her display a pathologic trend of behavior involving denial of obvious facts, like campaigning her heart out in certain states and say that state didn't matter when she loses, trying to have MI and FL reinstated after her campaign fully supported to disqualify the states to start with, etc., is showing this women to be a Bush-in-skirt that this country cannot afford for another term or eight years. This country can ill afford to have another human being who not only cannot be honest to themselves but also with country as a president. After this primary, I hope we have seen the last of her. She is about to ruin the legacy of her husband, and has certainly tarnished it by making him one of her attack dogs, which is never his style.

What has Obama done in the 3 years he's been in the Senate?

During the first 8 months of his elected service he sponsored over 820 bills. He introduced:

233 regarding healthcare reform,

125 on poverty and public assistance,

112 crime-fighting bills,

97 economic bills,

60 human rights and anti-discrimination bills,

21 ethics reform bills,

15 gun control,

6 veterans affairs and many others.

His first year in the U.S. Senate, he authored 152 bills and co-sponsored another 427. These included:

-The Coburn-Obama Government Transparency Act of 2006 (became law),

-The Lugar-Obama Nuclear Non-proliferation and Conventional Weapons Threat Reduction Act, (became law),

-The Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act, passed the Senate,

-The 2007 Government Ethics Bill, (became law),

-The Protection Against Excessive Executive Compensation Bill, (In committee), and many more.

In all since he entered the U.S. Senate, Senator Obama has written 890 bills and co-sponsored another 1096. An impressive record, for someone who supposedly has no legislative record. . . .

CLINTON'S RECORD:

Senator Clinton, who has served one full term (6yrs.) has managed to author and pass into law 20 twenty pieces of legislation. These bills can be found on the website of the Library of Congress (www.thomas.loc.gov), but to save you trouble, I'll post them here for you:

1. Establish the Kate Mullany National Historic Site.

2. Support the goals and ideals of Better Hearing and Speech Month.

3. Recognize the Ellis Island Medal of Honor.

4. Name courthouse after Thurgood Marshall.

5. Name courthouse after James L. Watson.

6. Name post office after Jonn A. O'Shea.

7. Designate Aug. 7, 2003, as National Purple Heart Recognition Day.

8. Support the goals and ideals of National Purple Heart Recognition Day.

9. Honor the life and legacy of Alexander Hamilton on the bicentennial of his death.

10. Congratulate the Syracuse Univ. Orange Men's Lacrosse Team on winning the championship.

11. Congratulate the Le Moyne College Dolphins Men's Lacrosse Team on winning the championship.

12. Establish the 225th Anniversary of the American Revolution Commemorative Program.

13. Name post office after Sergeant Riayan A. Tejeda.

14. Honor Shirley Chisholm for her service to the nation and express condolences on her death.

15. Honor John J. Downing, Brian Fahey, and Harry Ford, firefighters who lost their lives on duty. Only five of Clinton's bills are, more substantive.

16. Extend period of unemployment assistance to victims of 9/11. 17. Pay for city projects in response to 9/11

18. Assist landmine victims in other countries.

19. Assist family caregivers in accessing affordable respite care.

20. Designate part of the National Forest System in Puerto Rico as protected in the wilderness preservation system.

SCORE ANOTHER POINT FOR CHRISTIAN POLITICS

CHANGE is coming with Obama; he’s wracking up win after win against Hillary, the most powerful woman ever, in USA politics. So what is Obama really offering? How will he face McCain?

Obama seems to have all the RIGHT stuff. Anyone who watches the big winners, have seen noble people, like Gore and Kerry, lose elections. The Winners on the other side are more “likable” like Bush, and actor/orators like Reagan and Schwarzenegger. If Democrats want to win this time, we better follow someone with the RIGHT stuff (sarcasm intended).

OBAMArama reminds me of the followers of madness with illegal immigration…Over the years, I have seen issues like Immigration UNITE people in a frenzy of misinformation. The same people that cry foul are the ones allowing illegal immigration to continue. Why? Because they want an underclass. An underclass of illegal workers, works cheep and spends money. What could be better? Illegals help keep the costs down for food and other services. The obvious solution to stop illegal immigration seems to be to prosecute employers, but that never happens. Instead people buy into the scam.

I have seen Obama play every card in his deck. I have seen him passively attack Hillary because she is a woman again and again. He gives inspirational speeches and claims he will focus on plans later, and bring change. From what I can see, so far, Obama change will move us RIGHT, and that’s not the Change I’d Hoped to see in 2008. He seems to be running with a platform as a Christian Democrat.

So we’re watching the most accomplished woman politician is USA teetering on the brink of a loss to the popular Obama. The people that voted for him, Believe that someday he will find his own voice, and deliver a speech others can quote for generations. I’m sorry that I don’t have confidence in Obama’s mission. He looks good, and gathers a crowd, and he’s eloquent -- but there is way too much talk about Christianity in a country that is already at risk of deciding that the separation of Church and State is “Outdated”. He puts down Hillary for being a woman albeit in a sneaky way. Obama's underhandedness is obvious to some men and women -- Thank God!. He refuses to take a stand – which I assume is good politics allowing him the maximum ability to CHANGE and maybe he will try and appear more RIGHT than McCain in the Big Race.

Hillary is not perfect, but I feel good about her commitment and leadership ability to work for Democratic change. Obama, he’s a wild card and like Reagan is Inspirational and will likely pull the Democrats RIGHT like no Democrat has in the recent past, IMHO. I BELIEVEd Hillary would win in the race against McCain, and I BELIEVE Obama won't, so the real tragedy is watching Hillary go down.

Cass of CA 5:08PM February 20, 2008

This is all playing out perfectly for McCain. He won't make the same collossal mistake that Hillary has made in trying to frame the race as "experience vs. inesperience". Instead, the Republicans will call Saint Obama down from the pulpit and make him offer specific examples of just what this "change" that he's promising means. They'll also take him to task for his voting record in the U.S. Senate, a record which has been rated even more liberal than that of Ted Kennedy and Chris Dodd!

If this election is about issues and not about personalities, the Republicans will win. Despite all the flowery rhetoric and sweeping speeches, at the core Barack Obama is nothing but an old-school, tax & spend liberal. The car he's selling may have a shiny new coat of paint, but under the hood it's the same old gas.

-- Graduated first black president of Harvard Law Review having won trust and support of conservative members.

-- Passed over 600 high-money law firm offers to work for civil rights practice at fractional pay.

-- Added health insurance for 20,000 children, welfare reforms, earned-income tax credits, and increased minimum wage in Illinois.

-- Reformed death-penalty cases, requiring that interrogations be video-recorded. Passed Illinois Senate 58-0. Signed into law by Illinois governor who first opposed Obama’s bill. Obama succeeded by building consensus with conservative opposition.

-- Opposed Iraq war publicly, long before invasion. Accurately depicted it as of undetermined length, undetermined cost, undetermined objective, with a great likelihood of civil war breaking out.

-- Expanded program to locate and dismantle stray Russian WMD with Republican Senator Lugar.

-- Passed major ethics and lobbying reform bill with Russ Feingold, insisting upon tougher restrictions around gifts, meals, etc. And extended the interval preventing exiting congress members from moving directly into lobbyist positions.

-- Toured Kuwait, Jordan, Israel, and Palestinian territories, telling Palestinian Authority Abbas that US would never recognize Hamas leaders until they renounced mission to attack Israel.

-- Cosponsored Secure Orderly Immigration Act by John McCain. Passes Senate 62-36. Makes undocumented persons who have been here 5+ years only allowed to stay and apply for citizenship if they pay back-taxes, learn English, and have no criminal record.

-- Communicated frankly to Michigan automaker executives of need to increase fuel-efficiency standards by at least 3% per year.

-- Many aisle-crossing bi-partisan solutions throughout 10 years of senate experience (8 state, 2 federal).

-- 100% approval rating from the League of Conservation Voters, Planned Parenthood. National Education Association gives him an “A” on their most recent scorecard.

-- In Illinois State Senate sponsored 780 bills, 280 were signed into law.

-- In first year as US Senator, held 39 town-hall meetings throughout his state, sponsored 152 bills and resolutions, and cosponsored 427 more.

-- Designated US Senate point person on ethics by Speaker Harry Reid.

He defeated the Clinton Machine. He will defeat John McCain.

That is Barack Obamahe 'beef;

YES---This is going just the way the Republicans had hoped; a "newby" they can cut into tiny peices and crush come Nov. Lots of "eloquent words" and no record or actual experience. They will make these arguments work, and we will be stuck with more of the Bush failed policies. We Democrats deserve what we get; we could not beat a most unpopular candidate in 2004, who had taken us into a disastrous war; and now we get swept away by a candidate we know nothing about as far as ability to actually LEAD---not just leading people who love you, but getting people who hate you to listen; not to mention knowing anything at all about foreign policy. Just think if we should suffer another attack before Nov----at least Hillary could show experience at election time. But of course, none of that has any real value------just watch how much McCain's experience helps him SHINE, AND SET HIM APART. For Hillary, her age, experience, record and gender are all negatives-----for any man these are the things that matter and make him qualified ......... go figure!!!!! Our own stupidity and lack of careful consideration will be the undoing of all Democrats come Nov.
