Oh never mind what I wrote below. I misread this as meaning state-wide.

Absolutely not true. Peter G. Torkildsen was elected to the House from Massachusetts in the 1990s. And Silvio O. Conte was in office from 1959 to 1991. Margaret Heckler also served until 1983.
