Harvard Law School has decided to allow military recruiters to interview students on campus. David Frum in National Review Online presents a good overview of this decision and of Harvard President Lawrence Summers's positive stance on the American military. By the way, Harvard Law School Dean Elena Kagan was one of the Clinton nominees for a federal appeals court judgeship who was blocked from confirmation by Republicans in the Senate. Conservative Harvard Law graduates have told me that she was an excellent teacher and that she would have been a very good judge. Let me join David in linking to the website for Harvard Advocates for ROTC.
Harvard students can attend ROTC classes at MIT, but the faculty has blocked an ROTC program at Harvard. If you're a Harvard graduate, as David and I are, you might want to respond to the next fundraising appeal you receive by letting Harvard know what you think of that policy.
