Should Mitt Romney Talk More About His Mormon Faith?

If a self-proclaimed believer in astrology were running for the most important office in the world, would it not be "fair game" to raise questions? Is Mormonism any more rational than astrology?

As a presidential candidate of the LDS faith, who is known to have sworn an oath of loyalty and allegiance, consecrating all that he has (his time, talent and resources) to the Mormon church – and has done so as a covenant made with God in the holiest of places, the temple – Mr. Romney's worldview should merit further scrutiny indeed.

At least with Romney we know by way, of our understanding of the tenents espoused by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon/LDS). We know this about the religion and what it teaches. It teaches a strong, abiding belief in Christ. They adhere to principles of a Christ centered life. The encourage strong families and family ties. The value good, clean, moral living of honesty, chastity, virtue, integrity, etc.

What we don't know, or what is at least unclear, are Obama's views on religion. He rarely attends church. Does he pray? We know he only sat in a congregation preached to by the firebrand Jeremiah Wright. Did he ever serve in an official capacity within his brand of organized religion? Did he make voluntary contributions and tithes? Was the purpose of his attendence to be seen or to glad hand/network influence peddlers?

Belief is more than words. It is action it is work. Faith without works is dead.

We see Romney's faith in his actions and work. All we get from Obama is empty words and a complete lack of action.
