wow How can you miss so much when early on you showed savvy. 2012 is about winning the second third of the legislative process. We can; t prance out a more of the same candidate. I think like is dislike most republicans want the white house and are going to bet on a winner. We have tough issues and the good old boy candidates havent shown the zeal in their actions Palin has. Maybe she isnt any good as a politician but I dont think that will hurt her.

Liberals have made far too much of her. If she runs, she'll get ripped apart for her disingenuous reasons for quitting the governorship.

SP has the intellectual depth of a corn-flake. She has proved such time and again on national media. She is rhetorical with the same old tired story-lines that are narcissistic. She is unable to think on her feet and lacks any credible background qualification to represent, much less lead, this country. The snow-bound mommy from Alaska got to play on the world stage for her 15 minutes in fame only because of her nice looking legs and big rack. THAT'S IT! McCain's "sex-sells" hail-mary in choosing her as his running mate was a disaster for him and having her as commander-in-chief would be a disaster for us.

Ain't that the truth!

There is never a win-win proposition from Sarah Palin and the criticisms she makes are never followed with constructive proposals. Her approach to politics is to bash others, especially the current executive administration. There is no message ever out of her mouth that is now about how another is somehow inferior. She's all over the place in her miserable communication and simply can't define a platform and refine the messaging behind it. It's absolutely unclear how she could negotiate any of the issues that beset our country.

Reading one comment that we need a woman president was good because I truly think that a woman would make a good president but the comment preceding that statement that our current president is foolish, stupid and unwise, well he was wise enough to beat her and become president and if you think that palin is the best person for the job then all I can say thank goodness that this is a free country and any opinion can be express regardless of it's worth!

I think that she should have been our president. Barack is foolish, stupid, and unwise. We need a woman for president!

Francesco,

The Tea Party is not "hell bent on polarizing the nation even more." That you say so reveals 1) you have not really tried to understand what they want or 2) you have a political position that is opposed to what they want and/or 3) you prefer the smear method of debate.

The people of the Tea Party want a return to sensible, sane and affordable government. That is something they have not seen in a long time. The have been abused and ignored for many years and finally they have decided to do something about it. If they were of your political persuasion you would applaud them for their participation but, because they are not, you denigrate them. What you are doing is "polarizing the nation even more." For you, there are groups that don't deserve participation in the debate or the political process. You need to think about that.

Personally I don't think the US is ready to put another Republican in the White House, not so soon after G W Bush. What probably counts in Palin's favour with a lot of people is her "charismatic" appearance.

Yo people, the #1 function of a President is to communicate. Whether it be Reagan's absent-minded cold war-speak or Clinton's laughable lies, THE PRESIDENT COMMUNICATES. Sarah Palin is an inadequate communicator because she simply-and-quite-obviously does not have the training nor the intelligence to communicate. Her trying to wink and flirt her way to the Presidency is totally distasteful. Shame on whoever takes her serious.
