New START Treaty Is About Stopping Nuclear Terrorism

If this treaty was so good for the United States the Democ-rats would not have jammed it through in a lame duck secession of Congress. This treaty might well have been proven to be worth approving but it would have been nice to listen to a debate about it. We heard none, especially about its positive aspects, IF THERE ARE ANY.

This is what Democ-rats do!

This is why they have a lower number of House members than at any time in my life (I'm turning 68 tomorrow) and a diminished number in the Senate.

Let that trend continue, and with this behavior, it will.

The media debate is in full swing about the President’s huge lame duck session, and what it will mean for his poll numbers. Now as we sit on the precipice of the START treaty ratification, I felt it was important to glance back in the history of this President and see why exactly we are here today. A kind of struggle through the white noise if you will:

Reason why Obama wants this so bad is that it comes with a free date with Anna Chapman.

There seems to be an issue with the Preamble. There appears to be a valid question that shouldn't be ignored. So why are Democrats ignoring this issue?

Democrats seem more focused on "rushing ahead with it" instead.

They need to be adults and address it.

"If Republicans shelve this treaty, the chances will increase that terrorists will get their hands on a nuclear weapon."

The odds that terrorists will get their hands on a nuclear weapon are 100%. It's just a question of the length of the timeline until it happens. R.L. Shaefer is on the money.

Terrorists, and North Korea, and Iran, and any enemy who wants nuclear weapons would do well to remember that we still have our own nukes; that we have used them before and have threatened to use them since (see first Gulf War).

This could have been prevented if we had bold and capable leadership. We should have demolished North Korea 15 years ago. We *should* be demolishing Iran right now. If they want nukes, we should give them one - it's about a 30 minute delivery to Tehran. Remind the world why nukes are vicious weapons.

Dictators and terrorists only understand strength. Reasoned arguments mean nothing to them. We must speak to them in their own language; ruthless violence. Might does not make right - might makes right irrelevant. They should not be allowed to have nukes for the simple reason that WE SAY they won't, and we have the will and firepower to make it so. Period.

Instead, we have had a succession of weak leaders with no foresight beyond the next election. What a pathetic end to the great nation we should have been.

A delay may be possible, but nothing more.

Fruitcakes already have nukes in North Korea, and Mahmoud-Islamawacko in Iran is crazier than an outhouse rat. Turkey and Pakistan are quickly moving into the Muslim massacre and martyrdom fold. So time is short - probably less than a decade before a nuke goes off aboard a container ship in one of our harbors. Even a small bomb would mean a half a million casualties and a city turned atomic wasteland.

If we had the will we could prevent further such attacks by launching a devastating, but limited attack on the capitol of any Muslim country which harbors terrorists. I say "any" because it would be unlikely that we could determine which terrorist harboring country was responsible. So, in that case, draw a name out the hat and vaporize the city with a 24 hour warning.

Then serve notice on all Muslim nations which support terrorists that their names are in the hopper and that "next time" there will be no warning - just, flash and bang. Hopefully, those Muslim leaders wouldn't have swallowed the the "70 virgins, unlimited wine and gold reward" thing, and so would clean their own house pretty quick thereby preventing the reprise of the Sodom Gomorrah hand slapping.

However, it is doubtful that America will summon the will necessary to scald out this evil..... but maybe we'll find it - the second time - or maybe not at all.
